intake hose fittings - size questions

OK...

SBC 350 Performer Intake by edelbrock...

Has two heater hose connections tapped into the manifold...
I'm guessing one gets blocked off, and i use the other one and hte one on my water pump... correct?

What size fitting do i need to screw into the intake manifold and water pump...

gaskets - rtv or gasket???

Fuel pump...
Is rtv fine.. or do i need a gasket and RTV...
