will the tpi setup of an lt1 in an 87 camaro fit on a 350 with Edelbrock heads part # 60899?
thinking about swapping to tpi or tbi fuel injection and have an ongoing debate going weather it will fit or not.

thanks

tbi takes 87-up intake bolt pattern change heads for the center 4 bolts 2 per side in center of intake.

if i recall the tpi still uses older intake bolt pattern like the heads you listed # on .

and as to tbi or tpi most would say tpi if you got the parts for a better tune / running options. but tbi is just as good for less parts if you ask me and lot more to find parts from than tpi stuff .

and lt1 wasnt till mid 90's and true lt1 stuff is totaly diffrent than tpi .

But it looks cooler! :D

You'd likely pickup some bottom end and maybe a tad milege. You got lots of room in a truck for mounting a Cold Air Intake system, the K&N filter on end in front of fan just messes up the air flow.

But they run out of air at 4500 RPM, so with your heads I'm guessing a cam too? Would it match?

Like mentioned the LT1 is not the same. Will flow better to higher RPM. But no LT1 in 1987. 1992 to 1997 you can find an LT1 intake but theres no distributor hole! It can be machined in. LT1 had the OptiSpark distributor direct drive off cam behind waterpump.

ya i found online were you take an intake off of a 84 camaro and drill the center holes so it would fit
and i learned about lt1 last night,i spent about 5 hours on Google looking it up

and the cam is an Edelbrock part number #7102
