Hey guys after rolling around and comparing all of the kits out there, with all the reviews, I cant really see a reason not to go with compushift. From all the reviews, to suggestions, to customer support, to ease of operation, it all looks pretty good to me. I have talked to the company, and there is alot of red tape for them to make me a dealer, even though I have a biz, they want commitment, so I will be talking to somebody that is already a dealer for them to see about a group purchase and what kind of price I could get for myself and whoever else could be interested. Bottom line, it wont be cheaper than $1030., that is what the company sends them to dealers for, so it wont get any better than that. So.....any takers???or those interested? I will be ordering the complete kit regardless of the outcome of this within the next couple of weeks FWIW. I also found a dealer that already sells the kits for $1095, so if the group deal falls through, then I will be ordering from them.

to the top...just got off the phone with the guy earlier, and he told me that for a minimum of 6 guys in on the group purchase, he would sell them for $1049. To the top.

Do they come with the LCD screen?
Well it depends on what you mean by lcd screen. I just got off the phone with the guy and he said that it will include everything needed, the computer, programming screen, wiring harness, throttle position sensor, and instruction/troubleshooting manual. If you are talking about the "liquid clear display" screen, then no it will not include that, and can be for a little extra ($200 give or take a few bucks)since its an option. I am thinking about getting this upgrade since it has all the diagnostic info available with it in addition to the better programming capabilities. Here is a link to the compushift website that will show you what all is included as well as the options that are available.

Is the programming screen all you need? I was always a little confused about whether the pictures they show of the Compushift being programmed. Is that the LCD or the programming screen?

Sounds like you got a good price going. I've got the 4L80E now. If enough people get in on this, I may purchase the Compushift as well.

Oh sorry forgot the link while surfing the internet like a meth crazed person surfing the internet...anywho.

That is the link to the company page, they are a little confusing like you said about the display and what all is included. It almost seems as though there are 3 controller displays. But there are infact just 2 different displays available. The basic unit, which is included in the kit IS the LCD display, and the highest optioned vacuum whatever display is the available option. The lcd is $200 alone without the kit, but is included in the kit at no cost. The vacuum display is $300 alone without the kit, but can be added to the kit for $100. You can check them out on the website link above. I also just picked up my transmission last weekend, so either way, I will be placing an order. Thanks to Psrumors, a few things were cleared up in my head and make a little more sense now.

So what does this kit do? Is it just a stand alone controller for a 4L80E?

Yeah it is a stand alone controller for the 4l80e that will function in any configuration that you can install in into. Honestly, it has so many functions, it would take me a while to type it all out, but if you check out the link I posted above, it has all of the information on the controller.
