Edit: its welded on.

interesting...ditch the sway bar for sure as well as the boots...they just collect mud/dust/water/etc...

Yeah i've seen those before. I think one of my trucks outside has one. which one...who knows??

no boots or swaybar as stated above

those springs are really soft, ive driven with out the sway bar before, so its gonna be disconects.

You guys think i should cut the bump stop extensions off, cause it sure as hell looks like i am gonna lose articualtion from them things.

IMO i'd cut em off. Not sure why they put em there but it might keep the tire from stuffing up and messing up the fender

I dont know man, sure looks like there is alot of room.

33's with 2.5 inch(its probaly even a little taller)

The PO to my 86 did the same thing, except he didn't weld them, just bolted them on. I just left them(longer bumpstops????). With the 4" lift, 35's I put on and swaybar removed I have pretty decent articulation so I'm guessing they are there for a reason.

i will disconect the sway bar sometime and jack up one side of the truck and see when it hits the bumpstop, and if its not articualation for my liking i will break out the old cut off wheel.

If that is only 2.5 inches of lift, leave the bumpstops with the 33's. They are only 2 inches. I would definitley lose the shock boots though. I live north of you by about 2.5 hours, we don't need shock boots in Wisconsin. They do more harm then good for us. Too much water, salt, corrosion. Gotta let them air out. You and I aren't rock crawling here so there is plenty of articulation for you to leave them bump stops in. Might save you some fender carnage.

I did exactly the same thing with my bumpstops and destroyed the factory bumpstop mounts on the first trip out.

I ended up making my own from scratch.

I was only planin on takin out the homemade spacers, and re installin the factory bumpstop.
