i installed a 4" inch suspension lift on my '89 k5 about 2 months ago and when i did i must have done something to trip the interior brake light... the wire on the proportioning valve is still plugged up and the parking brake is disengaged... i and i've bled the brake system and there is plenty of fluid in it... i don't know what else it could be but that red light won't turn off... please help

How does the peddle feel? What happens if you take the wire off of the proportioning valve? If that does nothing take the one off of the E brake switch and see if it goes off. When one of them makes it go off then you know which one is setting it off. Once you know that it should be easy to troubleshoot.

had the same problem. The upper part of the brake pedal arm pushes in a switch when depressed. Check the wires to this. You probably have a bad ground at this point.

put black tape over the light.

Just kidding!:eek1:
