Hi everyone!
I hope y'all have a great new year and had a nice Christmas!
I'm in search of some interior pull straps that are made of something a little stronger than cloth.
I think I came across something like that on this site a while back but the link to the guys site who made them has disappeared from my favorites.
If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate it a lot.
I think they were one piece polished or brushed Aluminum.
Thanks!

don't know about aluminum but seen some pretty good ones made from old seat belts. Matching color and if you are good with a sewer machine thingy they look nice.

The guy who makes them, his user name is TPI86. I'll see if I can dig it up for you.

Gonna have to order me a set this week. I always lose the end cover;s /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

Some of the end covers were missing when I bought my '87. When I went to the dealer to buy new ones, the pics showed that there was also a steel piece that could be retrofitted to keep 'em from getting yanked off again. One steel piece fit over each end of the strap and was held in place by the screw that holds the strap to the door. Then the end cover snapped into place. The steel held the ends of the strap down so that it couldn't pop the covers off if the door got pulled hard. I never lost a cover again in the 4 years I owned it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Sure enough Wayne!
That's the link that i was searching for. I'll put it in my fav's again as well as write it down.
I've seen your door panels on that site and they are looking good!
I'm just tired of the original straps breaking.
Thanks for posting the link!

I noticed that you can not use the factory end caps. So which ones did you use Wayne? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Look at the pics. Mine are the factory end caps. You would be suprizied how well double sided tape holds things. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I don't have any straps or insert panels or end caps on either door. If I buy the whole deal for $53, does that give me everything I need?

Sarazk5...Where do you work and how much is it for the door panels. I need ones with power window and power lock holes... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
