interior headliner

don't know if tis has been asked before, I did not see a previous post, has anyone ever glazed the original fiberglass headliner panel with fiberglass resin to strengthen it so it doesn't crack????

I need to repair the panel before I glue new headliner foam/cloth cover on it.

you could on the backside

i bet one could be made by stiffening a bunch of car trunk liner padding, the thick soft gray/black kind common in the 70s cars etc,

spray adhesive or something would stiffen it, need ideas here,,
