I have gutted the interior of my 91 blazer, dealing with a few rust issues before I raptor liner the interior floor pan. The original interior was red, but I am changing it to black. I have painted all the interior trim pieces and also the gauge panel. I am awaiting delivery of a new dash as well as a bunch of other interior stuff.

My first question has to do with reinstalling the new dash. I know the gauge panel will be the last to go back, but should the A pillar pieces be installed prior to putting the dash in?
Also wondering if anyone had any issues with the LMC dashes during their install.

I can't seem to figure out how the shifter knob on the 4-wheel drive comes off, it just wants to spin, am I overlooking something in taking it off?

I am sure I will have other questions and will post in this thread, appreciate everyone's expertise in helping me bring this old girl back to respectability.

The LMC dash is better than the urethane molded dashes that are a little cheaper. The urethane one needs some trimming, the LMC usually fits without much trimming.

I think you can do the A pillar in either order but the dash will fit after A pillars are in.

I thought the shifter knob unscrewed, has the insert come loose from the molded rubber?

I was kind of surprised that a couple coats of bedliner wasn't a very good sound deadener even under carpet. I had better results with some stick on sound deadener sheets or a pad. I used Siless from amazon most recently on the K5 because I have a soft top and didn't want water in the carpet pad. Its like Dynamat but cheaper.

I was looking for a dash emblem "SILVERADO" for a 91 Blazer. LMC, Ebay, MotorCity K5 do not seem to offer them. Any other suggestions on trying to find it?

Also, I am looking for a replacement antenna part that the mast screws into. LMC does not offer it, not sure what it is called?

Is it not the same as #9 ?

It is not, those emblems only go up to 1988. The pins the back of mine are broken so the only way to attach it would be with glue.
I can find the cap emblems on ebay, but might not install them. The dash however has the holes, so I need it installed.

A couple interior pics. Gutted the old red interior in favor of new black stuff moving forward. Sanded the surface rust down on the rear floor pan and used rust reformer. I seam sealed over the old original sealer because I had it and it would eventually gone bad, waste not want not. I will raptor liner it after some patch welding work in the front driver's side area. Cleaned up the tailgate, sanded, painted and installed new straps, gaskets, weather seals, screws.

I'm not looking for a show quality truck, just a daily driver.20250628_192132.jpg20250714_094724.jpg

Either glue it on or reach out to @kennyw , he probably has the most trim bits of anyone out there

A good 3M VHB double sided tape would hold your existing dash emblem in place. I do not hand any of that style available.

So looking at where the tailgate bumpers should go, although part #30 says it only fits up to an 81 blazer. Will any of these LMC parts work for my 91? If so which ones.

I'm sure I am not the only one who has issues with the female insert (not sure what it is actually called).

I can't seem to find any replacement parts for that, suggestions on where they might be available.

Has anyone had the unfortunate pleasure of replacing them along the cab? If so, any info, instructions would be helpful.

Are there alternative ways to fix the problem to create the seal.

Broken rusted stud in a couple of them.
