I read a post awhile back concerning cleaning up the white plastic/metal interior pieces that primarily hold the headliner (the ones that yellow so bad). I searched and can't find it, but someone had a good way of cleaning them up. Any ideas?

Acetone works great.............I used it before I painted them 3 years ago and no chip/crack/etc.

I used plain old hand soap and a scrub brush to clean them off, let them dry, and re-painted with (IIRC) Krylon "Antique White" and they turned out pretty much exactly the same as original. Not usually a fan of Krylon and matching colors, but in this case it worked well.

I once had a yellowing plastic light cover that I spilled a bunch of GOJO hand cleaner on and didn't clean it up for about a week and when I did it turned it white again... The only problem was I had to recoat the whole thing and let it set for onother week because it only got on about half of it the first time..../forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
