I spent the weekend tearing up the interior to get some Herculiner down. I didn't finish, but I got everything cleaned up, applied some rust converting paint, and fiberglassed a couple holes in the cargo area. Herculiner goes in next week with some new waterproof seat up front. I want to add a waterproof bench seat in the rear to go topless for the summer, any tips?

I can get Jeep seats from Corbeau or Bestop etc.. for around $260. Any better deals? Has anyone found a seat cover for the stock seat that is actually waterproof?

ive tried herculiner and it worked ok in a bed faded out and did not have a rough enough texture i thought. want to see how your's turns out
line x is alot of money for something that dont do much im looking at 1400 ouch.
I am also thinking of some drains that can be unsrewed for hosing it out any ideas

My goal was to leave the top off for 6 months without making the rust any worse or having to worry about sitting on wet seats. That being said, Line X or any other spray-in was out of my budget. I've got $300 in new front seats, Herculiner, and prep supplies. Still need something for the rear and a thick rubber mat for the cargo area. I don't trust Herculiner vs. my tool box or spare parts.

$1400?!? I just talked to the local Line-X guy around here (Spokane, WA) today and he said if I brought it to them gutted/prepped for the most part and ready to be taped it would be at most $700. I'm gonna put down a few coats of Chassis Saver before the Line-X so I'm just waiting for that to show up. I know it's more expensive than DIY stuff but side by side the quality of the professional stuff is far superior, plus you're getting a lifetime warranty from the dealer...but 1400 sounds awfully steep.

I'm not sure I understand the "lot of money for something that don't do much" cause the way I see it that bedliner is doing one of the most critical jobs that any one improvement could do when it comes to rust and body rot.

Finished my interior work over the last 3 weekends. Rolled in the Herculiner, lost the doors, tailgate and roof, fabbed up some mirrors and boat speakers, working on getting my hi-lift and other necesities bolted in.

Got a local guy to fab up a roll bar for the rear seat, full cage isn't in the budget this month. I ordered some tube doors from Blazenoffroad.com, can't wait to see how they turn out.

It came out nice the comment alot of money for something that dont do much refers to its only paint and 1400 can buy alot of things way more usefull and needed than just paint or liner.
winch,60,doubler,cage,tires,crossover,hydro assist, the list goes on In my book alot more important to have function and reliability before looks, looks are nice and i dont drive trash but 1400 i thought was outrageous and that was with me doing all the prep, imagine if they had to do it. I think they just did not want to do it i will keep shoping tried 2 shops so far.

The Herculiner looks pretty good in the pictures. Are you happy with it? I'd like the professionally done stuff, but $6-700 will buy me tires or a lift, etc.-- things I need more.

So far I'm happy. It's not too hot or noisy considering, but I haven't really tested the durability. It's tough enough to slow down my drill bits, but I haven't dropped a hi-lift or something heavy on it. My stuff is bolted down, so I don't know if loose cargo would tear it up or not. I also haven't tried to clean it yet. Otherwise, it was cheap, easy, looks good, and should protect from any more rust. (The underside is another story, I'll get there soon!)
