ATTN: Sry, just noticed the intro thread. And i keep editing this cus im on my work computer which is the equivelant of junk....

Hey, just picked up a 87 Chevy Custom deluxe. When purchased it had 36x13.5x17 inch IROK's, 4 inch suspension lift, LT1 engine swap w/ th400 built tranny, and a stock 10 bolt rear lol. He gave me a 14bolt 9.5 inch to put in for free though, ill get on that in the spring. Also recieved a set of 8inch lift springs for the front. So about a week after purchase i got to work.

Put on the front springs, new stainless brake lines all around, drop-pitman arm (im gunna put on a steering arm too, but ive already got 9 hours into this thing so im done for a while lol), shackle flip in the rear, new bushings. Its been tough, but well worth it. The rear brake line (hard line) ruptured as i was pulling it out of the shop last night, so thats the last thing tonight before i take her out to Green ridge state forest this weekend.

Also has seats out of a 04 silverado, and a few other things. Gunna have to pull off the bed next spring to fix the rear frame rails. But other than that i love it!

So here i am, and theres my truck. I used to have a 91 K5 but it was so overwhelmed with rust i let it go. This is my second attempt lol. Next step is replacing the rocker panels, and new shocks all around. But i think im off to a good start!

ill post a few pics in a while here once i get my 15 posts

Sounds like a pretty nice pickup. What are you going to use the truck for? Why so much lift? 8" seems high for 37's especially if the truck is going to see much off camber wheeling.

BTW welcome to CK5. You found the right site!

Im gunna use it for whatever terrain i can find calls for lol. Pure fun, except to pull a boat in the next couple years.

Only reason i went with the 8 inch setup is because the springs came with the truck, and the front poly bushings had completely come out of the 4 inch springs and it was riding on the bolts.

Im going to need to put new tires on in the spring though, and since the 36's look tiny under it ill probably go up to 38 or 40's with some trimming. But only after i get that 14 bolt in there. I know the 10 bolt is on borrowed time as it is
