Introductions & Greetings

Hello.

I'm Ryan, from CT. I've had my a 1991 K5 for over 6 years now and I love it, can't stop working on it. She's got the stock 350 tbi (with just about all the bolt on mods you can do), 700R4, NP241 and 10 bolts axles with 3.73 gears and a lunchbox locker up front. Factory suspension with polyurethane bushings, and a 2" add-a-leaf in the rear, running 32x11.5x15s on Ansen 5 Slot Magalloys. The body has been trimmed for clearance and I fabricated the bumpers myself. It's topped with a Surco Safari rack and running 14 auxiliary lights. And yes....she rocks it doorless in the summer.

Hello everyone!

I found these forums while searching the web for information on old Chevy Blazers. The first car I ever purchased at the age of 16 was a 1985 Chevy K5 Blazer Silverado (White with a red stripe, and interior was a maroon vinyl). To this day, that was the most fun I ever had driving in my life. I don't have a Blazer like that now, but I am looking to purchase one... either something that is in great shape or I'd be willing to fix something up. If anyone has something for sale or wants to give me advice on where to find one or how to fix one up, please let me know!

newbie

Well looks like i'm the next newbie on here.

Hey everybody. I've been a member for a little while but haven't posted up as I have been able to find everything I've needed just by searching and reading everyone's posts. I've gone from not owning a K5 to buying one and just completing a front Dana 60 swap inside of a few months. Given my initial limited knowledge, that speaks volumes about the wealth of information readily available on this site. Thanks to all of you.

Finally have a question I haven't been able to search up an answer for, but I'll get to that in another post.

For now, I'm Aaron from Gainesville, Florida. I've got a 1990 K5 that's bone stock except for the aforementioned D60 swap and an ORD steering brace/frame kit. Looking forward to a whole lot more in the future.

Thanks again for all of the help you've given yet another newbie without even knowing it.

I'm relatively new - I've never posted that much nor did I own a k5 or any vehicle for that matter. My name is Alex and I'm from California and I'm buying my first vehicle. which happens to be a 1971 Jimmy. I'm actually bringing it home this weekend and am going to be working on it ASAP. Once I pick it up i will probably make a thread about it asking ideas or maybe even a build thread? :D

Thanks to everyone here, this site is what made me want to stick with the idea of a K5 as my first car/truck and now I'm actually getting one.:)

Me:)

Hey i'm Sterling. I have a 1984 K5. 305, with a 4 barrell Rochester. Hooker headers, Cherry bombs. 6inch total lift, 35 inch tires. I use to have a small saturn coupe but i got in a accident and decided that i wanted something a little more sturdy. I saw her on craigslist for 2000 i got it for 1800 and had her by the end of the week. Her previous owners weren't the best to her. I've had it since March and she had exhaust leaks body rust a broken push rod that i just found two weeks ago :S I had the drive shaft fall off while i was driving thank god it broke right when i started to leave my dads and i pulled into a drive way i caught it before it compeletly fell. I have no interior is rhino liner. i Haven't had the money to do any real renovations. I love it though. There are a few in my area. I can't wait untill i can restore her. I had a picture but i guess i have to post like 5 post untill i can put it up.

I should have known with the ecu pirate thing ha ha. I am trying to find more k5s around me but i think thats like 4 hours away:( do you know how to put up pictures??

Love NC and miss it all of the time. Haven't figured it out yet. I think you may have to make so many posts before you are allowed. There are an a** load of K5's up this way that people are parting out (4X4's). I have yet to see one 2 wd K5 anywhere around here except the one I picked up. I am on the hunt for a tailgate w/ manual crank at the moment
