Introductions & Greetings

First, thanks for having a great site.

My name is Rob Taulman, I live in Reno NV. my K5 is a 1978 with few mods, 6" lift & 35's, NV4500 stick. It is my hunting, fishing, everythinging truck.

The best part is a FWC that my step dad, son, I have been re-moding.

New Guy... again

Hello all, my name's Matt and I live in Utah.

I had a '78 K-5 when I joined this forum and it's long gone now but most of the good parts found their way under my current '87 K-5. It's pretty basic, a good runnin' TBI 350, 700R4, NP208 (for now), open Dana 60 front, spooled 14 bolt rear, 6" suspension 37" MRTs, cross-over steering, home-built bumpers, 12'000lbs milemarker buttsaver plus more I'm sure I forgot.

I've had a number of trail rigs over the years and this is by far the nicest... as far as comfort goes. It has all the options and everything still wokrs great, even the cruise control and a/c. I picked this up from the original owner, dang near stole it ($500) because the trans was shot. I had a freshly beefed up 700R4 already so it worked out great. As of right now the Blazer still only has 88,000 or so miles on it.

These are a couple pics from a recent club rides.

The main reason I got back online today was to get info about the 2010 Blazer Bash... I'm hoping I can attend it for my first time.

I was going to post a couple pics, but I can't seem to figure out how...?

newbie from the deep south

Thanks for the warm welcome to the forum...since I live in Miami, FL and have a 25 foot see vee fishing boat, I new that I would need a brute of a truck to tow the boat. I chose the GMC suburban, and bought a 1990 model 2500 (full ton) to tow the boat. Since two is always better than one, I picked up a second suburban, this one a 1986 Chevy C20 (full ton) and this one came with a 411 rear end...talk about torqe...stomping on the gas can give whiplash ! I am a true lover of suburbans and restored both myself...paint, interior etc...so I know a bit about them. Looking forward to posting and reading.

Just joined, have a current project rebuilding a 72 blazer, blazer was sitting in the garage in parts for last 10 years after son took apart then lost interest. Was able to look at some of the posted photo's to figure out how parts go back together.

I have a 1987 K-5 350 V8, when I try to crank the engine it will hit but will not start. Any idea what the issue might be? The plugs are firing and pouring gas in the throttle body has not help?

Everybody has to be the FNG once....It's apparently my turn. The name is Doug. I live in Lakewood, CO and, am a 'Certified Corvette Specialist' for a local Chevy store. I've lived and breathed Chevy, all my life and, wouldn't own anything else. I just bought a '91 K5, Silverado Pkge, 350, 3.73 gears and a 10 bolt locker(G80) with 108KMI. It has every option available in '91. Haven't shot any pix of it yet but, will post a few soon. Right now I'm looking to convert the rear brakes to disc. I have bigger wheels in mind.
Thanks for lettin' me play!!!
