Introductions & Greetings

Hey!

Thaught I should introduce myself!

My name is Jim, 16 years old. Living in Norway, that's right..a true viking :haha:

Also my English is not perfect :o

Hehe, thanks :p:

EDIT: Why can't I see the pics? And make a new thread..My account is activated, as far as I know :)

Ok, I've figured it out...you've gotta buy a membership. Sorry too say this, but that sucks  You're loosing alot of "would have been a serious member if they have gotten the chance" members! That's me included. This is not meant to be negative. It's just a friendly tip ;) I'm not paying anything before I can acctually see if I like the forum..

Once you join up (if you choose to do so) you'll find that the paid membership keeps out most of the jerkoffs who have nothing better to do than join up on a high-traffic website just to piss everyone off for $hits and giggles and then get banned (on purpose). Even with the membership fee the forum has tons of traffic and pretty much everyone is cool because they paid to be here and are serious about Blazers and also about making friends.

Hehe, thanks :p:

You don't have to be a paid member to start a thread or post in the "garage" forum. Certain pictures you may not be able to see because they are attached via ck5 picture gallery.

Heyhey, thanks  Now I like this board better :haha:

Maybe I'll invest..? Well..I better stop messin' this thread up..

I guess I'm confused. I didn't pay for a membership upgrade and was able to post pictures in my first post. What I didn't see was any way to post an avatar.

I'm not sure why anybody would have to pay to post an avatar, especially one of their own Blazer. Hopefully somebody in a management position can clarify these points.

Thanks, but I already read that info when I signed on. I didn't see anything about posting pictures though. Seems to me you can post all the pictures you want (and view them too) if you use photobucket or some other outside hosting service like I did.

I suppose I can live without an avatar or signature. Besides, I just joined up to see what other guys have done with their K/5's and share my 30+ years of having played with them. I hope that's OK.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question, but do you have to upgrade your membership to be able to post in the regional owner's section?

I just tried to do that and got an error message saying I couldn't.

Oh well, I'm thinking I may be in the wrong place.
That's what I thought too at first, until I ponied up and realized what a great forum this is. And it wouldn't be as great as it is is without a little financial help from the members. As I mentioned earlier, the presence of a membership fee tends to weed out 'drive-by' members, so we have a better quality of people here. :) You'll see.

My 25 bucks has gotten me more info and help than any other source I've gone to. The resources of all members, mechanics or not, are amazing! Join up and be some of those sources!:wink1:

Hello thier. :D

My names Tyler. im a new member to this site and look forward to lending out any advice i can or taking in any knowledge that i can.

im a 2nd year Automotive apprentice and have been in the trade for about 4 years now.

i started off working on ford's, but i have always been a GM person. Born and raised with them.

My first truck was a 85 K20 4" lift and some skinny 31's.

Now i am working on a 84 Gmc K10. with a 14 rear anda 10 front. 4" susp anda 3" body. custome bush bumper. A/C P/L P/w.

when i bought the truck it was plain jane stock. no lift. 32's and no power options other then power steering.

im also in the process of building up my 2006 SS S/C Cobalt. Fully built 4 cyc with a complete custom turbo system still on paper. We had melted the #4 on our way to the track unfortunetly so i have no time's.

the SS we are looking towards 500+ WHP. :D thats with out nos injection and just a single turbo. :D it's do able ;)

Any ways thats all for now. i shall posta build thread on the truck and maybe the SS if wanted.

im currently a dodge tech. so if i can offer any info or advice on them i am more then abliged to do so. :D

Hi, signed up a while ago but finally posting.

I just picked up a V3500 truck, 6" lift, 38.5x15.50 TSL radials, military 14bolt & dana 60, 350, 4L80E tranny, NP205.

Happy with it so far, just need to replace some tierods to tighten up the steering then work on getting rid of the 5.5" block in the rear and then do crossover steering or hydro assist steering.

Well, just found this sight...it's really cool...My name is Jeff...I live in Krum, Tx....just got out of the Army and now work in the Barnett Shale(oilfield) on Wellheads...traded my Banshee(Quad) for a 1985 K-5 Blazer with a 6.2 that my buddy had....he put Turbo/heads from a 6.5 on it last year and did the sorriest job you can imagine...so I tore it back down and am just now finishing it up...probably build exhasut and bust it off this weekend...this past friday I rolled and totaled my 04 dodge cummins...so provided the insurance company doesn't ask too much I might purchase it back and put the motor into the blazer...I've been a gearhead all my life, but this is the first 4x4 I have ever built...it has a 6.2 turbo, 700R4, 5" Suspension lift, 3" body lift, 37" HUMVEE tires, and a ton of new stuff, will post pics as soon as I get it back together, nice to meet you all....and thanks in advance for your advice!!!
