Introductions & Greetings

Hello from WY!

Thanks for the info everybody. I'd love to chat in depth about my rigs but I'm going to wait until I can support the site to burn up band. Cheers-Josh

Hello all, I've been lurking for a while just getting info and ideas mostly, but I resently traded for a 70' GMC Jimmy (Custom Camper) and I am looking for some info on it. I found some old threads from the Chalet guys but I have not figured out how to send messages. Do you have to be a member?

This is my second blazer and I have always had old chevys. It needs a lot of work as it came from the mid west and is eat up with rust, but I think I can repair some of the critical stuff and just wheel it.

howdy

Hello,

I have a 1992 K5 i picked up cheap.I dont know about where you all live, but NOBODY is buying these big trucks here anymore.
Its the perfect time to start a collection IMO.
Parts are still selling pretty good, its hard to find the parts you want in the wrecking yards as they are picked clean soon after being placed in the yards.
The 4th gen k5 blazer was my dream truck for years and Im shocked how cheap I got one for, and how cheap they seem to be selling for in the classifieds now.

Anyways, I recently over christmas went to NM from vancouver BC.
I was thru washington, oregon, idaho, utah, colorado and finally in new mexico. My truck did the trip without a hiccup and is still running like a champ.Major score I figure.

Anyways, im going to go find a tech section to see if anyone has cut the roof off a 4th gen and gotten a soft top custom made or what, thats what I am currently thinking of doing to mine.I dont offroad much and if I do its just logging roads.I took the 33's off of my 92 when I bought it, and got some 265/75/16's on 3/4 ton ralley 2wd rims with caps and rings.Im using it as a daily driver in the city for now, so I didnt want it lifted with noisy/bumpy tires. So i went with stock michelins on steelies, and sold the mags with 33's for a little more than I paid for the stockers.
Very happy with everything about my econo-blazer.its been so awsome, i dont think anything would run so good for so cheap.

Good day to all

My name is David, I live in North Ga. I’ve had numerous K10’s through the years and 3 K5 Blazers, 2 S10 Blazers and a couple of Ford 4X4’s, one being my 74 Bronco, that I’ve had for 10 yrs. The reason I joined this forum, is I love all 4X4’s and I picked up an 84 K5 w/ 88 S10 pickup cab and a tilt flat bed, it has 38.5 x 14.5 Thornburg’s, 350, 4spd w/low, stock T-case, and lockers (?).

hey bronco blazer, i just joined myself...those 77 and earlier broncos are great, there is old guy that drives one near where i work, he bought it new and its still bone stock, he's sick of being asked if he wants to sell it...it still drives daily too...no idea if he had anything rebuilt...its like a yellowish orange color with white 2 tone...so cool to see it

90 K5 in Tucson....

Bought a 90 K5 to use as a tow rig. It's a manual with 4" of lift and tires that are way too small! :D Hoping to glean some info and lend a helping hand when I can.
Later,
