Hi

Hi, I'm new to this site!

I'm 31 and live in London England and have recently purchased a GMC K Jimmy as my first american vehicle, and I absolutely love it!!!

I have got a few jobs to do on her, so I'm sure this forum will come in useful.

Thanks, Sam.

Hey yall. My name is Jake, I'm 18, and I'm a full-time student at a local community college and I'm working on getting my degree in Machinist Technologies.

I'm currently building an '86 M1008 CUCV with a '92 6BT, NV4500, and NP205. I just ditched the 6.2, a 700R4 I built, and an NP208. Dana 60 front with a Lock Right, 14 bolt rear with a Detroit and both have 4.56s. I run 11.00R-16 XZLs on the street and 38x12.50-16.5 SXs on recentered 8-bolt double beadlocks when I wheel it.

I came here in hopes of finding a lot of people with a lot of parts for sale :D

Hi Everyone...New girl here. I'm Kim. From a small town outside of Philadelphia Pa. I have a 1991 Scottsdale Blazer. Pretty much stock with the exception of a 4" suspension lift and 35" bf goodrich a/t tires. But planning to do a lot more to it

wow, that sounds like a real nice truck!
89 - 91 were the model years I wanted originally, trouble is they are quite rare over here in the UK.

You got any pics of your truck?

I have pictures but it won't let me post a link or the picture. Have to have 15 posts in order to do so.

New here. Looking to meet friends in the 4wheeling world. I have a 1994 Chevy ext. cab under construction. Putting Rockwells under it. Rebuilding the engine and trans. as they are both bad. Looking to build the motor to 496 and modify the trans to accept the power from the new engine. Put the 54.6" Michelin Radial tires on it when all that is done.

i just wanted to say how useful this forum has been to me and will soon become a full member.plus this is just a way for me to get another post. one closer to having 15.lol

Hello Fello gm friends. i found this site while looking on how to rebuild my 73's limited slip thought it would be a great place to chat.

newb to the site from Texas

Hello, I am new to the site but not new to Blazers of fab work. I am looking to buy and build a FS Blazer for my 15 year old daughters first car.
I have also had Kert at DIY build me a few things and was very pleased with the work and price and noticed he is a vendor on the site.

Hello from the new guy

I sold my built Scrambler a year and a half ago and am just now considering a new build. I already have an 88 d60 and 14bff and was looking for the right place to start. When researching, I found this site. Very interesting and informative. Now I can't wait to start. I'll be looking at a 90 K5 on Saturday.

Greetings from Colorado

hello all! new member here to Colorado K5, trying to get familiar with this whole "forum" thing.

one of the vehicles i drive is my 1985 Jimmy. i've had it since my senior year of high school and have since had it lifted, had the engine replaced, and stereo upgraded, amongst other small mods.

i joined Colorado K5 in hopes of furthering my wheeling knowledge, and learning more about resources for full size chevys :wink1:

Intro

Good Day to you all. My name is Tremaine I currently reside in Chicago. I got my first Jimmy about a week ago and I see it is going to be a HUGE under taking. She is a 1986 GMC Full-sized JIMMY plow truck and no one has loved her for quite some time. I picked her up in Milwaukee for 800. I have a laundry list of repairs to perform on her. Can any of you guys lead me to an actual service/repair/shop manual? not the Chilton or Haynes ones. I think I need the more heavy duty stuff. Thank in advance and I look forward to sharing her progress with you guys.
