New b k30 3+3

Hello I my name is Dustin I am from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. I am new to this site but I have been lurking on a couple of others. I have owned strictly chevy's all my life. I have owned a couple of chevy trucks 74-C10 , 76- K20, 86-C10 ,current just a work truck primer black allway being over worked. So currently I purchased my new project my first build 1976 C30 crewcab dually 3+3 gvw 10 000 lbs. going to be converted to a true 1 ton K30, with the true 1 ton frame. Parts that I have collected for it over the last year or so are, 3970010 350 block with double bump heads, edelbrock performer intake, cam, 650 ,holleydouble pump carb, noisey gear drive, sm465 with 85' hydrualic setup,np205, Dana 60 front , Dana 70HD for rear with 411. 56's up front, stock off course out back maybe with a couple extra leafs( like there aren't enough). Goint to put 3/4 ton spring hangers in the rear and a possible 6" block. I will need possble zero rates for the front and back with shims but not sure build will tell. Just started riping it down finding out what I need. Looking for a good passenger dually fender and inner fiberglass skirt. Parts are hard to find around here. Ontario. Allways up for your thoughts and opinions. The only way you learn is to listen watch and do, and then do over.:D

hello

I am another new guy to the forum I am in the process of buying a 1988 blazer waiting for the guy to find the title so I can take ownership of it.

But instead I am just searching through the pages of pictures.:frown1:

Hello all

My name's Scott. Living in South Carolina. Looking to buy a 91 or older K5. Had an 87 a few years ago, but ended up selling it. I've owned a lot of cars through the years and that K5 is probably my most favorite. So, I'm wanting to get back in one. Plan on it being a project that my son and daughter can help me work on. Looking forward to spending some time here.

Hey guys my name is dave, and i found this site in search of a nice 4x4 CUCV M1009 Military Blazer. Ive looked a few different places but i dont think i have found the right one yet. I would like one in the camo with all the military numbers or stars not blacked out on it and no rust or close to none. Also hopeing to learn about any common problems or whatnot. Anyways if you know of any for sale lemme know.

Names Shane, I have a 79 K5 blazer that im about 60% thru a full ground up restore... The old tyred 400 in it was yarded out and i retrofitted a L98 TPI into it.

Hey, name's Trey I don't own a truck yet but I'm looking into a '90 Suburban. I was looking for info/advice on what to look for and this seemed like a pretty cool forum.

Hi folks i'm here from Alabama. Looking for like interests and knowledge to increase the capailities of my 87 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic. Just swapped in a Gearhead 4bolt 350 and prior upgrades include military rear axle and 3.73 gears from and rear.

Welcome aboard! I think you'll find everthing you're looking for here.

Where are you in Ala ?

FNG From Jacksonville.

I have been lingering around here for a while now! Just decided to opt for the full membership. So far I am impressed with the info I was missing and all the pictures. This isn't my first Blazer I had a 88 GMC Jimmy about 10 years ago. I loved my 88, but as with most things I "needed" a newer truck. Fast forward to now, several truck later, I have a slightly abused but solid 90 Jimmy. There are several things I regretted either doing or not doing with my 88 that I plan to rectify with the new 90.

I was in when I signed up! I left GM and went to Ford where I made WAY more money! I then decided to be a truck driver for a while which wasn't the smartest move I ever made.:dunno: And I now work for a large carburetor rebuilder here in Jacksonville in the sales department.:thumb:

Both trucks look good but I'm partial to the 90, that thing is really nice. :waytogo:

Thanks man! That picture is kinda flattering to the truck. It's dash is all busted up, the tailgate is cracked, and the truck was yanked by the tow hooks so hard somebody ripped em through the frame and bumper in the front!:doah: It needs a little work to say the least. My 88 looked like a brand new truck inside! Oh well, nothing a little hard work and part hunting wont fix!

Hi all, my name is Ted I am new here, currently a senior in college working on a degree in Electrical Engineering,I like listening to music, some kinds more than others. That's pretty much it.

Birmingham nvrenuf thanks for the welcome. From what i have seen so far this site is going to be a great place to hang around and learn.

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Lex. I recently separated from the Army and am currently living in Littleton. I am originally from Albuquerque. I have an 86 K15 that is an ongoing project, my 3000GT normally has most of my attention. I'm new to the 4x4 scene but not the automotive scene in general. I've done SCCA, AMA, NASA and Drag, just not NHRA qualified yet. I'm excited about getting into the 4WD scene and am looking forward to hitting some trails. I'm not necessarily looking into crawling, more of expeditionary, go anywhere type of stuff. I heard this is a friendly community so I'm happy to be here. :)

Hello,

My name is Matt and I live in California. I own a '75 K5 Blazer with a rebuilt 350 and a rebuilt turbo 350. It's got a 6 inch life with 35" BFG KM2's. Pretty soon I'm going to convert it to part time 4x4 and eventually swap my turbo 350 for an sm465. I love Chevy's more than anything else but as long as its American its ok by me.

Hello all, Just picked up a 83 K5 on Locked Tons, 350, 465, 205, 6" Lift, 38.5 Boggers. Looking to take care of the low hanging fruit things to make the truck stronger since it will be wheeled hard and expected to drive home from the trails close to an hour away. It will be nice to get the advise of those who know what breaks so I can stop that fom happening to me.
