Introductions & Greetings

Howdy Im Jayme I was a member here oh way on back in 04 for a short time. Since then Ive been lurking here and there for a few years. Ive owned a slew of older vehicles and plenty of K5's and other K series trucks. I currently am down to my 84 K5 which came to me from a guy in Colorado a few weeks after bringing it up from NM. I live in Iowa and I'm a diesel mechanic and custom metal fabricator by trade.

Hello my name is Aziz, I'm from Kuwait, I own a 91 K5 for about four years now, currently working on swapping my 350 engine with a 6.0 vortech :D

Hey, my name is Jack. I live in Carlsbad, NM. I've heard nothing but good things about this site. I have a couple of GMC Jimmys and have an avid interest in fixing them up. I heard people on here are the ones with the technical intel on how to fix, repair, and maintain these vehicles. RootBreaker referred me to this site. I am sure I will greatly appreciate your input....

Greetings to all fellow wheelers,

This is my first post just had to join after reading FRED 1010's threads. Just got my first dedicated wheeling truck up and running a few weeks ago ('85 M1010 box removed 36" hummer rubber, fenders trimmed) many more mods to go just need time and $. I also have a M1009 blazer daily driver, 1 that is complete and running but not tagged, 1 for parts only, and 1 project m1009 started. One M35 W/W and 1 M1009 (pickup) parked no motor. Next mods for the m1010 4" lift (front springs rear shackle flip) then fab a small bed and relocate batts and fuel tank. not sure what will come after that but I have plenty of ideas and am always looking for more. Looking forward to receiving and giving ideas and info from you all.

I'm a new guy from St. Charles, MO
I don't yet have a CK, but I'm in the market.
I need a 9 passenger Sub. I will play in the midwest mud a little (because that is all there is to do here) but I spend two weeks every year in Colorado and the 15 pass E-350 van is getting torn up on the trails.

New Member

Just bought a 88 K5 Blazer which I have been wanting to do for the last two years. I have loved these trucks since I was a kid and have never had the pleasure of owning one until now. I'm currently serving my 14th year in our Nations great Military. I currently live in Clarksville Tennessee with my wife and two kids. Enjoy this site with the wealth of information and good people. Look forward to future conversations with other like minded people on this site. Shawn

Hey, just became a full member today, signed up back in September though. I have an '86 K5 Blazer lifted 6" (4/2) Has a 350/700r4/np208 sitting on 35s right now. 1/2 ton axle, which just took a dump on me so very shortly I'll be putting in 3/4 ton hopefully 14bff with 4:10 gears (daily driver too). Has a Carr lightbar ontop, PIAAs in the grille but I'll be getting rid of that when I get a nice winch bumper. Right now just getting everything up to snuff so I can keep driving it. In the long run looking to put in either a 6.5TD or a new 5.3. And if I hit the lotto a 6.6 Duramax

Oh ya my name's Eric. 26. Just got out of the Army after nearly 7 years and two deployments. Starting WyoTech in April for their Street Rod and Custom Fabrication with Collision Repair/Refinishing Technology :saweet:

New to K5

My name is Derek and I am very new to the K5 experience. I just purchased a 1982-1991 K10 Blazer. I give the range because it has crap from almost all of these years on it. Was a 6.2L in a previous life, now has a rebuilt 327. It is a rust bucket now for now. I bought it for my 17 yo son and I to have a project to work on together. Do not know much, but am a quick study. Looking forward to help from all of my new K5 friends here at CK5! Thanks

I guess

I guess I can say hello, curious as to if people even read some of these. My name is Christina and I live in Callahan,FL. We own an old 87' Chevy K5 Blazer and sadly its gotten to the point where its in desperate need of some repairs. Mostly a new grille and front bumper, but its hard to find parts for this truck within our price range. I want to fix this truck up because I love it so. But even my truck a '03 Dodge RAM 1500 V8 is in need of repairs as well, and its a matter of which truck is a priority first and foremost. But I would like to get the grille fixed on the front of the Blazer and would like to know where to get this. We get magazines for the old Blazer and the Suburban but its still very very expensive, but I guess that's what happens when you try to replace parts on a truck that is getting harder and harder to find. If any one can help it would be greatly appreciated.

hi, i'm new here as well. name's Adam and i'm looking forward to participating in some threads. see ya around.
