Man, what an area to live in! An hour or so within atleast 3 parks and a short drive to more to the north. Can you still ride the Gardendale area? Seems like I heard that was closed off.

Sure you want to seperate? The job market is a little "down" these days, especially around these parts.

Having served 15 years myself, I can understand. I miss it, though.

May I offer some advice? When you go through ACAP take copious notes about everything. Your GI-Bill bennies have changed (again, but for the better), so you really want to pay attention to this week's updates.

Also, go down to your TMC and grab your medical records and copy EVERYTHING! I cannot stress this enough! I did Green-to-Gold and in transition from ROTC to AOBC, the Army lost all my enlisted records. It was "interesting" to say the least rebuilding my 201 file. If I hadn't keep the diplomas from OSUT, PLDC and BNOC, plus all my award certificates, I would have had nothing. As it was, I could not ressurect my medical files. I have some back problems now from an Line-of-Duty vehicle accident that I cannot get help for because I cannot prove that the event happened or that I was treated for it. Such is life.

If you have any service-related injuries, make sure it's documented in every way imaginable. It may not seem important now, but these things have a way of catching up to you. Pay special attention to TBI/PTSD. If you do plan to pursue any disability claims, the BEST way to go about it is through a Veterans Service Organization. DAV, VFW, PVA, to name a few, understand the VA's regulations better than most VA personel do. Your claim will be processed much quicker (relatively speaking).

BTW: If you're going to stay in SoCO, the Denver Region VA system is pretty good. They actually seem to give a damn.

hi ive got a bone stock 1990 blazer full size only thing ever wrong with it was the paint untill 2night... im just glad to see that these trucks are loved by more than just me. :D

What's up there k5'rs of the mighty CK5!!!my name is budak n can say I'm extremely excited to be a part of this amazing club.I'm from Sacramento,CA..I have a 89 full sizer of a blazer..she has a 3" lift on 15" rims with 33" falken wildpeak a/T's..she has a 12 bolt rearend with a Dana 44 in the front..I also have a frame kit welded on by the gear box n a tention arm from the cross member to the back of the box..it was supposed to be my project but turned out to be my DD...so I was forced to get a new alternator n radiator,new u joints for the rear new seal on the dana...also had to weld the floor pan were the seats mount cuz they was cracked..I also stripped the inside n had the whole floor pan hurculined..its only the beginning n I'm glad to be a part of ck5 for input n new wheeling friends (even tho this is my first 4x4)..by the way is there (by any chance)a chapter in Sacramento of ck5...if so let me know ...Thanx a mill
 
Yes I need to lift my k5 blazer what lift u recomend I want to run 38" 39" tires 8" lift kit I look rough country and skyjacker what's ur inside I want to get the best for my dollar. He he he I got some rims n tires very cheap from some old man.

Hi, my name is Lester. I live in NE Kansas. I have had several K5 Blazers in the past but none that I like as much as this one. I bought my '72 K5 a couple of weeks ago. Built 350 with a SM465/205 combo. Dana 44s front and rear with 4.10s. Soon to be swapped out with 60s with 4.56s. 39.5" Boggers on Eagle wheels. I have always wanted one this body style so I am happy to finally have one. Glad to be a member and look forward to making improvements to it with the help of the other members.
 
Hello my name is Todd and I live in Orange County CA. I just purchased a 75 K5 Blazer that has a 6" lift with 37" tires and I love it. I hope to meet and make friends with other members who love classic blazers and trucks.

i got a 1981 k5 rock crawler... anyone know where the VIN is located on the frame? thanks!

Theres still a few ways in to all the old spots, but yeah they tried to close entrances to alot of the places we used to ride out here.
 
Howdy my name is Duwayne I am from KY. I go to school in Cleveland for classic car restoration at Ohio Technical College. I have an 84 k10 and an 86 k10. I am planing on restoring the body on the 84 but the 86 will be my hard core off road truck.

Hey thanks very much! i read that the vin could be there on other years... but after a few minutes with a cut off disc, there it was!

but it was only the last bit of the vin... not the full VIN that matches the tittle.

do i need to keep cuttin to find the rest?
