Introductions & Greetings

Hey, my name is Dusty from Sweet Home, TX. I have an 82 K5 finishing up a 454/TH400 swap. I have learned a lot from reading everyone's build experiences so thanks for sharing the knowledge!!

Hi everybody. Im from Michigan and new to K5's. I just picked up a stock 86 k5 last night and Im gonna start tearing into it this week. The rebuilt 305 hasn't run in about 6 months or so and it needs quite a bit of floor pan/trunk repair. Im not new to repairing/restoring cars and trucks as Ive been doing it for about 15 years now. This looks like a great site with tons of info and Im sure I'll be here quite a bit.

M1009 from So Cal

Just picked up a 86 M1009 Blazer. Hope to gain a lot of insight into making it an incredible dirt beast!

Hello all, I'm Brent from Arkansas. I just got a '84 cucv m1009. Joined this forum to get ideas about mods and general knowledge about the K5. I am excited about this new project. Thanks for all the info in here.

Hey y'all, names Steve, i'm currently stationed on Kaneohe Bay, been in the Marines for a couple years and headed home soon. Originally and will be returning to Connecticut. I currently drive a 82 chevy k10 with a 350 / 350 in it, sitting on a 12 in lift with 39.5 baja claws. Bought it from a dude who built it as a show truck, so its still sitting on stock half ton axles. Has had its share of problems but it keeps me entertained.

Joined back in Nov. '10 and never posted here. Recently got a '75 K5 as a project, love the site and forums as they have come in handy with this and a '91 K5 I used to have 9 years ago. Thanks to everyone on here.

Apparently, I've been lurking here for quite a while and haven't yet posted. I have an 89 Suburban with a few mods, live in Texas and am retired from the Air Force.

Intro time

Hello all,
Just recently bought a 87 K5 and starting to look at ways to fix it up to where I want it. I'm hoping that all the knowledge here can help me get started.

It has some rust on the passenger rocker panel, and in the drivers floor. I starting to look around more, and hopefully I don't find too many more holes to fill.

Sloan
