Introductions & Greetings

What's up nvrenuf? You could have told me about this site. I found out buy looking at buying the dash from DIY4X, he sent me the link to look at some pics of the dash.

I know, I just hate going on one site to pimp another. Lots of folks consider it bad internet etiquette (if there is such a thing). It is frustrating though because GMSB is looking for so much info that's been here for years.

Welcome to your new home! :thumb:

So here goes the update, for anyone who cares, or might remember me...

Last time I visited under this username (I was confedneck79k30 for a while). I was 19. Now I'm 26 and married with 2 little girls and a son on the way. I no longer wrench for a living, instead I sell the tools, have been a Snap-on dealer for 7 years. My wife actually likes the new burb, and so do my girls. As soon as I get it where I want it, I should be broke and ready to sell it, so stay tuned, that is the plot with every project I get... Thanks for letting me back in to alcatraz, where you can jump off and swim away, but the current brings you back.

Hi Everyone! I've been creeping here for awhile. I really like the positive attitude on this site, and the projects are AMAZING! I'm not on it as often as some guys but I'll put in my 2 cents when it's appropriate:D.
Heres my '75 K-Five and I'll see you at Blazer Bash 2011!!!!!!

Hi Everyone. Newb to CK5. Looks like a great site and I have heard good things. I have a few trucks, mainly the M1008 and M1009 military CUCVs. Admittedly, most of my trucks are in some stage of parts/repair but I guess that happens. Looking forward to getting involved in the forum.

All my toys are subject to random modifications that may or may not make sense. I'm also into Jeeps, military trucks and off-road stuff. I enjoy walks on the beach... oh wait nevermind:doah:

Howdy

My name is Joe and live in Northern California. I own a 1989 Blazer Silverado 1500 Navy Blue with Silver. I purchased it about 5 months ago and since then I have painted, installed a sound system, lifted, and installed new 18' Ultra's with 33" Kelly's mud terrains. I love playing baseball with my son, and i have a wife. :thumb:

HELLO EVERYONE!

New Blazer owner and unfortunatley trying to sell

Hi all I own an 1987 K5 305 (5.0L), 4 spd Granny Tranny, body lift on 33" tires and will be moving to FL. I am ex army and work for the Department of Defense. I am being relocated and cannot bring my new addition along.

This blazer is located in Charlottesville VA has a clean title and current state inspection. Recent paint and very minor rust in the front fender wells. I bought it in Feb and have decided to sell it because I am planning on moving to FL and this is a big boy to tow/drive 1000 miles when you already have 2 other off road vehicles. The vehicle speedo shows 33 mi (I cannot be certain but I am almost positive it has been rolled over twice and not once making it 233k, it had 99k on it when I bought it). The vehicle was just checked over by a mechanic in Apr. It needs to have the belts replaced and the parking brake needs some work. The A/C blows so so I have only turned it on once. The front seats are alittle rough but the back bench seat is great. I have new carpeting in the box for it as well. The blazer has a cd/mp3/am/fm sterio and needs new front speakers. Other than that this is a very sound vehicle. I will give any prospective buyer the contact info of the mechanic if they wish. I am asking 3000 obo, reasonable offers only please and no spam. Feel free to contact me at [email protected] or at 434-242-4575. I can shoot any requested photos as well. Thanks in advanced.

You should like it NVRENUF! It has a bunch of your parts on it:)

You guys asked for specs so here goes...

BBC with Edelbrock port FI, TH350 (getting a lock-up), NP205 (can't decide if i need a doubler, its a sand thing...), "Hi-angle" 1410 drivelines, Dana 60/14-bolt, ARB's with 4.56 (I drive it to where I wheel... and sometimes back again!), 52's and two 2.0 fox resis on each corner.

You can hate the 'glass front and rear 1/4's but this wasn't a "classic" when I bought it:)

PSC Hydro steering and hydroboost brakes (LOVE those!), Warn 12,500 in front, Mile marker 10,500 hydraulic with quick disconnects in the back, 42" Km2's, PSC beadlocks, two Optimas sunk in the rear in boxes, hard-top, soft top, oh and real Escalade fender vents that look pretty funny with mud coming out of them!

Honestly "Budget Built" I've just had it so long, you guys know all about THAT!

hi averyone, im jared from lynnwood washington. i have a lifted 78 blazer with aloot of time and work into it and a 87 v30 that was my first vehicle and is currently under the knife again and soon to be 11inches of lift on 39s.

Newbie Here

Just joined your forum. Looks like a very cool place. My ride is a 1971 K5 Blazer. It is a work in progress right now (no surprise). The 350 will be a 383 soon, and I just converted it into a 1-ton. Here is a picture of it:

Ressurected, welcome to the board, I've been a member since '02. I live in Lehigh. You may see me running around in a gray 90 burb with 6" of lift and mismatched 31s lol.

Hello everyone. My name is Dennis and I live in Franklin, In. I have a bone stock, 9 passenger '84 K20 Suburban Silverado, 700R4HD AT, A/C, PW, DL, N/A 6.2 diesel getting about 18 mpg combined......... :D

Looking forward to learning from everyone......

Yep another new guy. My name is Jimmy and I live in NE Oklahoma. I have an '86 K5 that is a rusted out pile but I guess you gotta start somewhere right. Anyhow I am completely new to the 4x4 world or at least having one as a play toy. My Blazer is completely stock but hopefully not for long. Great site by the way!!

Hello

Good to be here just shopping for my next burban and had some questions for the experts

Hi, my name is Jim. Just traded off my four letter "F" word for a '89 burb and '8? pickup. Both 3/4 ton and four wheel drive (is there anything else?). I will be picking them up and dropping off the Ford on Sunday. I am really looking forward to getting these things and making a good trail/camping/family rig out of the burb. This will be my first suburban of this vintage. I had a '99 that my wife was kind enough to roll and total but its all good.
I have been missing the old chevy's. I had a '76 Blazer just out of high school and later a '77 3/4-ton pickup. You know the old saying, "I wish I had never gotten rid of them." It definitely applies. I will be posting pics and going through my build of the burb once I get them home. Thanks guys.

Jim
