Sorry nvrenuf, I guess I assumed you were the DIY4x guy (hey! That rhymes!)

Tube clamps, gussetts, caps, pinion protection and stuff is all from DIY4X and I'll be getting the rear DB brackets soon! I wish they would bolt on but I think the rear 14b came from a dually, so out comes the welder:D

It's all good. :thumb:

I wish I was one of the Diy4x guys, my junk would be uber pimped out and I'd know how to weld. :rotfl:

i guess it's my turn...

first off, my name is eugene from goodspring, tn, i just recently re-aquired my '87 s-10 from my brother who somehow managed to strip the teeth off the input and output shaft in the transmission, i fixed that, first time tearing into a transmission, wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, now it has a sputtering problem till it warms up a little and i think now i need to repair the clutch slave cylinder but my big question is, is it possible, and if so, how much trouble would it be, to drop a 350 small block in it? thanks in advance.........

Hey guys,

I'm JJ, I live in Carson City, NV. I have a 78 K10 with 14b FF and Dana 44 axles, 350, th350, np203 for drivetrain, The truck has a 6" lift on it, i want to do a shackle flip in the rear to rid my truck of the blocks, and pull out the add-a-leaf springs. and pull a leaf or two in the front to get to about 4" lift. I run 37x13x16.5 Boggers. I need to re-gear the axles, im thinking along the lines of 5.13:1 gears.

But I need some help, I want to weld the rear 14 bolt, it's a FF, but I have no idea as how to go about this. Any and all help is appreciated.

JJ

Just wanted to say hey. Always loved the old K5's and am thinking about starting a project truck now days and thought I would sign up since it most likely will be a K5/K2500

Hi there, I am from southern Texas. I am trying to bring my ol' K5 back from the dead. It's and 84 Jimmy with 11" of lift and Bald 42" TSL's. Hopefully within the next 6 months I'll have it on the road again. Lots of new plans for this old truck

Hello, my name is Nate. I currently live in Houston and recently purchased a 1986 M1009 CUCV. Currently it's stock, but I have started fixing it up. Plan is to make it into a camping / off-road rig for me, my girlfriend, and our dogs. I'll try to post some photos soon.

Blazadero

My name is Diana. I like to work on my own stuff as much as I can. I Had a 1988 Blazer but its gone and I am bidding on a 1976 with 37 inch tires and a bright blue paint job on ebay now. I love the full size 4 wheeler thing and I do not like F**ds much. If I end up with this beauty queen with big axles and the soft top it will need some parts to make it a real wheeler. Any body have a opinion the listing number is 23061450749. I think maybe this would be a good start. Thanks for any input and happy to be on board the forum.

Thanks. I have an 88 k5 blazer 4wd A/T 350 TBI. Rebuilt motor with 170psi all around. Just fired it, ran like new for 45mins, all of sudden stopped running after I shut it off once refired it shut it off 2nd time and then didnt run. Fuel pressure good, ecm communicating and reading everything in the normal range, new cheap dizzy, new good wires, plugs, cap, rotor, ign coil. I am confused. vacuum lines all cleaned and like new, no cracks. 12 volts at coil with ign on, 10.5 while cranking. Very weak spark, sprayed either still wouldnt even cough. Maybe ESC?? sensors all replaced. Haha any suggestions on what else to check????? Thanks

By sensors I mean Both Coolant Temps, Knock, oil pressure, the one on the back of the intake by the dizzy. All computer stuff is stock factory. Cannot find too many procedures on how to check things like esc, est, map, checked ecm inputs and outputs and all were in acceptable range. Lost.

New from central Ohio

Just bought an 85 m1009 blazer, needs some work but cant wait to learn how to do it

Hi guys, my name is Dan and I'm from Greenville, SC. I've had my eye on my friends 1972 K5 Blazer for about ten years now, and I was finally able to take it off of his hands yesterday. I'll be picking it up Wednesday and I'll probably have the top off shortly after bringing it home. It needs some rust repairs and paint, but it runs great and has plenty of K5 character. I'm looking for a good soft top for it and whatever else you guys may recommend for a "just starting out" Blazer owner. I'll post some pics as soon as I can!

Hello!

Well I've been lurking around the forums for a while now and just decided to register. My name is Cody. I'm from Oklahoma. I'm in the Army and when I get back to the States I have a gorgeous '85 K5 named Bernice waiting patiently in storage. Like everyone else I know, I have more dreams and wishes than I have time and money but one day she'll get the makeover she deserves.
