Introductions & Greetings

Hey guys, the name is Morales. I just bought my first K5 yesterday to use as my beat up toy, and I am stoked to start building it up. I got a 89 Blazer with a 350 and 700 R4. I have never owned a Chevy before, so I look forward to learning about them here. I also have a built up 2006 4Runner.

Thanks!

New Member first time Jimmy owner!!! YAY!!!

Hiya all, My name is Mike. I live in Las Vegas. Just bought my first big toy truck, A 1989 GMC Jimmy. Freaking love this truck. But as usually every toy needs some TLC. Found this site thru google and love it. Has lots of info. And im sure im gonna need some help. Well back to me. Im a electrician and love to tinker with stuff. May not know what im doing. But with a lil hands on and some info, anything is possible. Purchased my Jimmy off a guy needing some cash. He just upgraded from 305 to 350 and has new drive shafts. But had my first major problem with truck this weekend. Tires were lil old and dry from heat here in Vegas, Launched jetskis in lake and cracked tire. $1200 dollars later for new tires and im ready to play again. Well nice to be here with other big toy truck lovers.

Hello

Hello my name is Justin I am 28 and I am from a little known town in upstate NY called Gloversville. I just recently bought a bone stock 1987 GMC Jimmy from PA and have big plans for it. I am going to get an 4 inch suspension lift for it along with 15x10 rims and 35/12.5/15 tires. I am also having it repainted, the body is in great shape but there are a few imperfections I am getting taken care of. I also plan on putting headers and a dual exhaust on it. I am going to need a little help since this is my first K5 and my first restoration job. I am very excited and cant wait til its done. If anyone could help me out with anything i should look out for or where there is a good place to buy the lift and tires it would be greatly appreciated
I am looking forward to talking to all of you

It will have a cucv 60 (f) 14F (r) (4.56's) welded rear, eaton posi front, it has a 400/350/203, summit alum rad, summit 18 circuit wiring harness, 4" lift consisting of 52" ez ride rear and 47" skyjacker fronts, will eventually go 52/63's in the future, it will ride on 37" IROK's.

It is also getting a full cage, sliders, f/r bumpers all built in house. It' nice to have a fab shop :D with a TM-3 5X10 table :woot:
