Some of the forums require a paying membership to access. The garage & for sale are available to all for sure beyond that I don't know. The site faq should outline this better.

New Chevy guy from Michigan

Hey guys, the name's mike. I live in Michigan...(Oh Joy) but I spen most of the year working in Iraq. As the screen name implies, I spent 12 years in the Corps...YUT!!! I'm soon to be the owner of a rust free 87 K5 with 4" lift, 35KOs, and a crate 350. With that said, I've been a jeep guy doing my share of crawling (not much for the mud) and my knowledge of the chevy is limited to what I've acquired on the net. Here's the list of what I hope to accomplish in the next year or two...

52" leafs up front(using 2" leafs)
63/64" leafs in back(using 2"leafs)
Reverse shackles..of course (DIY4X4 kits)
CUCV tons front and rear
Detroit rear/selectable front lockers
Trail Worthy Fab H1 wheels with Guard dog tires
DIY4X4 Custom dash
strip and bed line the interior
Removable door Mod
Front and rear bumpers
Full cage
And MAYBE a dual fuel propane kit from Gotpropane.

Patience is the key here and prioritizing what I want done. This will be my "go anywhere the hell I want" vehicle...which will includes driving my kids to school and running over an occasional prius in the grocery store parking lot. Basically I want to be able to drive to the trails, crawl my way through and head home.

Hi, I'm new to the truck world. Got my first 4x4 in May, and it had to be a K5. I'm in the process of getting the underbody protected from the rust monsters here in Ohio before the winter hits. I would hate to ruin the cherry Carolina sheet metal. Next mod is to replace the 4 corner block susension lift a PO slapped in with a full spring system. Here are the specs: '86 K5 silverado, 305 carbed, 700R4, NP208, 4" suspension lift and 33 x 12.50 15 BFG AT's

Hey guys. I am Brett, I live in Utah, and I finally got myself a Blazer! Its a 1990 Silverado. I am the 3rd owner. Its in pretty great shape!

So you only need to have 5 posts to be able to post pictures. Man, I thought you had to be a paying member?

Yeah you need to buy a membership to be able to post pics as an attachment straight from your computer but with 5 or more posts you can post pics by hot linking them from a site like Photobucket.

if your talking about the big slotted nut under the dust cover that has a cotter pin thru it the best thing that ive always used is an adjustable wrench.
otherwise known as an arkansas metric socket set :D

POstwhoring... :D Took my blazer camping last night. I was dissapointed to find out that the rear seat doesnt pop out like my 88 suburban. :( I will have to change that...
