Thanks man! I bought them @ the same time off the same guy! lol. I am the 2nd owner on the boat, and 3rd on the Blazer.

Hello guys Gene here am new to this sight.I have 2 1988 k5 one im go restore and the other go make into a mud toy.Ill post pics on here in
a couple of days.Thanks

howdy, i'm dean from northwest ohio.

new to this forum, but am around a few others mostly for my bmx hobby.

not new to gm pickups, i learned to drive at 13 in a 84 gmc 1500 long bed 6.2l diesel pickup, which my dad still drives daily as well as his 93 reg cab/long bed 3500 single axle 6.5l diesel and his 01 gmc 6.6l duramax.

i currently do not own a blazer, but i have a '82 half ton, reg cab/long bed, 2wd, 6.2 diesel. i would kill to find a k5 in halfway decent shape with a 6.2 in it, as i dont really want one of the military trucks if i can find a regular half ton.

I'm not really "new" around here. I used to go by OLD DAWG, but as we all know times and things change. Well here we are some years later and my kid just got his first vehicle a 78 K5 soooooooooooo, I'm baaack!!

can anyone explain why i cannot seem to reply to anything? in any thread or forum? argaragarggg i may just have to man up and purchase a membership

Ya I dunno... I cant really reply in certain threads either...

I am on tons of forums, and this would be the only one that would require a purchased membership to get normal access....

Gotta have either 5 or 10 posts in the garage to start posting elsewhere. Keeps the spammers out.:woot:

Welcome:D

Hi to all. I have a 1987 K5. Somewhere over 200,000 miles on it. Had it about a year or so. Needs some serious work as my motivation allows. First will be the transfer case which is stuck in 4L. Living in Gainesville Ga.

Well, I guess I will have to save up for a membership then... LOL.

I bought some wheels tonight. 2 original steel wheels! Booya! looking for 2 more!

What size? and before you spend any more money on them have them put on a balancer and see if they are straight....I bought 4 wheels at various pic-n-pulls and every one of them looked good to my eye but when put on the machine they couldn't be balanced.

I got a set of tall skinny tires for that stock look when I get mine finished...got a set of the whole hubcaps....right now I have 15x8's and 31"
I looked forever and never found a good set of 15x6 steel wheels, but I found a place that will build them for me when I am ready. Found a tone of 15x5.5 but they won't clear disk brakes.

Oh yea man your exactly right! The wheels are $10 each so I cant go wrong. But "original" usually means tweaked lol.
