Introductions & Greetings

Hey all...I'm new to this forum though not to internet vehicle forums. I'm 23 and I live near Calgary Alberta Canada. I'm an active member on a few forums for my DD (2005 GMC Canyon). Bought a 1977 K5 about a month ago with the intent of turning it into a 4x4 machine. It has 60,000 original miles, 350, 4-speed manual, high/low range transfer case, A/C, and no power windows, locks, or tailgate. My dad's friend has a worn out 1980 3/4 ton diesel pickup I can use for parts, and a complete 3/4 ton front axle complete with locker I can have. Once I find a 3/4 ton rear axle, I can build the current Corp 12/Dana44 combo and swap them under my Canyon, though that's a few years off yet. For the Blazer I'd like 6-8" of lift, a 383 stroker, 35-37" tires, selectable lockers, etc. Pictures coming to this thread or a new one after I make 5 posts lol.

Hi everyone. My name is Abram Joslin, i live in Tempe, Arizona and am 23 years old. I own two Chevrolet Suburbans, a 4x4 1975, and a 2wheel drive 1976. My parents bought the 76 about four years before I was born and its been in the family since. I bought the 75 a few months ago as a daily driver while I tried restoring the 76. (If anyone has parts for a 76 I'd appreciate any help, Im on a budget and sadly buying direct from LMC, Classic Industries, Year one, etc isnt economical).

I've always loved these trucks and they have become an obsession for me. I make drawings of these trucks, and also refurbish emblems and trim. It is my dream to own a 1975 K5Blazer, but these are, as you all know, getting harder to find. Now for some pics:

My 1976-Silverado trim and used to be blue. I want to restore it to it's original stock appearance.
My1975-Scottsdale trim pretty much completely stock
Some drawings: (low res versions)

I don't have any pics of my refurbished emblems on the computer yet, I'll edit this post later with them.

Hi all,

I am new to this forum I have a 91 Chevy Blazer fuel injection 5.7. Lift 4 in pro-comp headers dual exhaust and MSD ignition. I have also bought a Holley throttle body direct replacement. The throttle body is given me problems working with a great technician and Holley once the blazer warms up a huge delay and hesitation occurs. I am about to give up has anyone experience this issue and may know any tricks to get this thing screaming. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ive had one, my brother had one, worked on 1 for a freind, none of them ever ran correctly til they had computer chips cut, even them my brothers wouldnt run well.

I'd like to see some of your refurbished emblems

Might as well.....

Ive been a k'5 fan since I got home from Iraq. I keep scattering parts and my search always leads to this site. Might as well join so I can finally see the pictures yall post.

Hey everybody, I'm Will. I'm from right outside Athens, GA. I just bought an '85 Jimmy Sierra Classic. Factory 305, 700R4, 3.08 gears and factory quad shocks in the front.
This is my first full-size GM SUV but I've been around Suburbans and trucks my whole life. I come from the LandCruiser crowd. I just sold my 91 FJ80 for those who know or care and got this Jimmy.
So far, I like the part-time 4x4, better MPG ( a relative term I know), the removable top, how the parts are 1/3 the price of that Toyota and I don't have to look on the IH8MUD forum to find out how to work on it.
My plans aren't anything too extreme. I mainly want to restore it to original condition and luckily I found a this Jimmy that hadn't been turned into a mud truck or rusted out farm truck. There is some surface rust in the usual places so a re-spray is in the plans. So far, so good.

Hey everyone, Im newbie also from (central)Georgia....I have a 84 M1009 for several weeks now...Im sure ill enjoy my stay, look forward to getting to know some of yall.

new from arkansas

Hey everyone I'm Tyler from Bentonville, AR. I have a 77 k5 for a dd, its got a 10 bolt in the front, 12 in the rear (welded diff) :) haha, 4 speed manual, 205 t case, 350 sb (edelbrock 600, mild cam, edelbrock intake manifold, headers into a single 40 series) 32x11.50s (keeping an eye out for some 33s). Just a rusty ole blazer, guess that's why I like it so much haha

Hey guys, I'm Gavin from Madison Oh. I have a 1979 GMC Suburban 4x4 with a 6" lift. Glad to join the boards.

My name is Harry and im from the great state of shooting stuff (Tennessee). Im a firefighter and police/SWAT officer at the Nashville Airport. I really enjoy working on vehicles of all kinds and love to fabricate and work with metal. I drive a 90 blazer that loves the fossile fuels as much as the next truck. It has a new 350 tbi crate motor bolted to a rebuilt 350turbo then splits to some 4.11 front and rear gears. Nothing really crazy but I love these trucks. Now im running on 35/14.50 thornbirds which im happy with. I dont do any extreme mud bogging or crawling. I hit some trails every once in a while and power through a few water holes and these tires get some bad rep but have performed fine for what i do.

Whats up everbody

Looking fwd to hearing from you guys.. Im new to this forum and also new to 4 wheeling.. I got lots of planz but im starting with the basics..

Hi All!

Hey,
I'm Tucker and I just got my first k5. It is a 1988 tbi 350 with 700r4 tranny. I traded my 1978 dodge truck for it, and do not regret one bit. I just wanted to thank the Chevrolet gods for creating this forum as i will be utilizing it a lot! lol
