Introductions & Greetings

My name is chevotaman and i am 50 years old and have been a hot rodder/4wheeler all my life.I am currently building a1982 toyota 4x4 pickup with a 5.7 350/ NV3500/NP241C.I have run into a snag because i can not find a NP241C with a right hand drop or any adapters for the NV3500.I want to use the NV3500 because it only has 6000 miles on a rebuild before the truck was rolled. All came from a 1991 C1500 pickup.I live in Big Spring Tx {middle of nowhere}where salvage yards are as scarce as gold on the moon.I am a machinist/mechanic/ welder/truck driver by trades.I hope someone has some information or parts i need on getting my NV3500 conected to a right hand drop T/C.I still have the toyota drivetrain 21 spline gear driven toyota T/C.

Welcome! Sounds like a cool project. Post this question in "the garage" for best results. It's a much higher traffic area on this site. I'm sure someone will have some ideas or a solution to what you are trying to do.

Bought my first Bowie today

Hi there I'm Nate Mclean. I live in Fremont, MI and for some reason Deuling is my best friend or skinny jeans, post whore, the dudester, lol guy, or w/e else anyone calls him haha I work in grand haven as a CNC machinist at Dake Press Corp. so the story goes like this. woke up this morning and was randomly looking around on craigslist and well 5 hours later I now own a 1981 Chevy k10. And so it begins.... Haha

Hi, my name is Dave and I'm from Tucson Az. I have a 77 2 owner K-10 Silverado with a 400ci V8. I think I will enjoy this site, seems well run and informative..

Hey Im Dave from Walla Walla Washington. Current project is a 73 Chevy Cheyenne that I inherited when my dad passed away in 2010. It was my first truck when I turned 16 and the truck I learned to drive in. Once I get it finished up I plan on building a blazer wheeler. Did alot of mud when I was 16 but have since moved on to snow.

How's it goin, my name is Justin. I have a '73 Suburban C-10 that I recently bought from a towing company, not buying it from the actual owner I don't know much about it, its straight very little rust concentrated over the big side windows. Its been lowered, it appears new springs and shocks and sway bar upfront, and they flipped the springs under the axle in the back, it rides low, right now its got 205/70 R15 in the front and 29/12.50 R15 in the back. The Superior brand centerlines have got a huge negative offset, so they rub super bad in the back, I was wondering if anyone had ideas of a tire wheel setup that would A.) Get the wheels and tires tucked up in the fender wells and B.) Make the front and back more uniform any help or insight would be much appreciated

Hello,

Hey there my name is Jason. I live just outside Fairbanks Alaska. So I have a 1979 K5 Blazer with the 400. I have a 4 inch rancho lift with 35 inch swampers and an Offroad Design shackle flip in the rear. I swapped the majority of the interior with a 1990 Blazer interior. I also swapped the transmission and transfer case with the '90 tranny. I tood the quadrajet off and put an Edelbrock carb on it.

hello
i bought my 1976 k5 blazer in 27 of feb, 2012. after i rolled my bronco. came with: 350 crate engine, 4l60e rebuilt transmission, advanced apdaters toa 203 transfer case, custom drivelines, lifted 6 inches?35x14.5x15 super swampers, msd wires, headers , racing seats and such. TBI, harness, ecm, seats, and interior from a 1995 suburban.

having fun with the project, but still have plenty to go, removed all the enngine harness, and wired it to work with the engine needs to run. truck runs, cool, broke in the engine, added electrical fans

she took a hold for couple month and now i back on it.

Hey ya'll I'm Matt and from Orlando, FL. I have a 89 K5 lifted 4 inches with a 2 inch Body on 35's that is my daily and I am building a 89 Jimmy. Right now it's lifted 6 but is waiting for one tons.

Now can anybody point me to where I figure out how to fix my tailgate? lol

Actually the window works perfectly. I think on of the cables is not working. When I pull on the handle I can hear the passenger side latch but not the drivers side.

Gonna hafta do some tear down and diagnosis. No cables, just metal rods to pull on the latches. Real simple design. Most likely can be fixed with cleaning and lubrication and slight adjustments.

Hi my name is Joe i am from La Porte indiana but i own a k5 so i figured i would join this forum to share my knowledge and experience as well as laying a few things from some fellow k5 owners.
