Introductions & Greetings

Welcome!

One thing to consider, the D44 axles you are considering are equal in strength to the GM 10 bolts you have in there now. To me, it would seem a waste of time and money to swap in D44s. For what you want to do with the truck I would suggest keeping the 10b axles and limiting your tire size to 33s or less.

You need 5 posts before you can post pics. And idk if u can have an avatar without the membership (which is way worth it)

now that i can post pics...

New from Alabama

Hi everyone,
Glad to see people here are working to keep up these great trucks.
I am currently working on a diesel 85 K5 Blazer. It needs a good bit of work, but I think I will like this one more than a new one when I get somewhat finished. (I enjoy working on old trucks too, so it's a little more than "practical") It's a 4x4, my first, and a first to work on diesel motors too.
I look forward to learning from all of your experience on this site, and hopefully contribute a little too.
Thanks,
Jethro

Hello Everyone! My name's Jay and I was a member for years but got out of the wheeling scene for a while after I parted with my truck. Anyways, I was lucky enough to find her again and it's great to be back on CK5!!!

Hey all

Hey guys, my name is Marshall, I'm a 21 year old college student living in Colorado Springs, CO, and I just bought my first K5! I have experience with muscle cars and some light off roading in my old Ford Ranger, but I'm excited to work on this new project and I think I'm gonna enjoy using CK5 as a resource for information and expertise! I'll start up another thread in the appropriate spot with info and pictures of my truck. Thanks everybody! Glad to be here!

Have my 400 HP, 86' Corvette TPI L98 being transplanted in front of a modified T56 and an ORD doubler to run this beastie. slow going but well worth it as it is my dream truck.
