Newbie

I'm Zane, another new guy here to absorb as much info as possible that I can possibly use in upgrading/maintaining my current ride.

I have a 1987 V20 that is essentially stock. It is my work truck/DD, so while I have grand visions of what I would like to do, I will probably ultimately keep things pretty stock with the exception of about 2" of lift in the front to level it out, and a LS swap if/when the 350 ultimately gives up the ghost.:waytogo:

Intro

Hello All!

My name is Steve and I live in Grand Junction, CO. I own a 1991 V10 Blazer. All stock with 198,000 miles on the clock. I've owned the truck since 2006 and have no intent on letting it go. At the moment I am just working through minor cosmetic issues and refreshing mechanical aspects as needed. I'll post a photo when I get an opportunity.

I've looked on the site for several years and now decided it was time to become a more active part of the community. I'm looking forward to chatting with other Blazer fans and learning while sharing my knowledge with those who can use it.

Fragged rear end

So I fragged my rear a few days ago, what a nitemare, pulled the rear driveshaft and drove home with the front!! LOL very interesting drive to say the least

I`ve been to several 4x4 sites, most are a lil to general for my tastes, I want more of a specific range of vehicles
 
Ok so this is what I have wanted to share

Got some BIG plans for the `burb, but not until I get my rear end fixed. Which brings me to why I joined, I have searched and searched and SEARCHED for info on my RPO codes, yea, its out there, but if your like me and for rear axle all it gives you is the GQ1 - Standard Ratio, Well that`s just not ANY help what so ever.

ALL the info you could ever want is here, all variations of all suburbans for 1985 in all configurations. I hope this helps someone, anyone. It has made finding out what "standard" really means so much easier.
 
Hey guys my name is Ryan. I heard of this site over the years through the offroad community. Im pretty good friends with fourwheelerjeff here in Texas. I have been a bowtie child since i could walk. I currently am working on a 1949 Ford F2. Dont worry. Its got a chevy driveline. Its got a 383/th400/208 on tons and 42" TSLs. Cant post pics because i dont have 5 posts... guess yall just gotta wait. :dunno:

I'm new on Colorado CK5, but live soo close to the Colorado/New Mexico border that I can hear the wind whispering through the Colorado pine trees. I own a mostly stock 1983 Chevy K5 Blazer with J code 6.2l diesel, and 700R4 auto trans that I rescued from a salvage yard in Pueblo,CO some 13 or so years ago. My Blazer is a daily driver, and is also used to plow all the snow in our driveway. I have read some interesting threads on Colorado CK5 while researching repair issues and decided to join the forum.

Hey everybody, Decided to finally get a membership.
I got my first blazer 13 years ago when I was in high school and that's when I first discovered this site and by browsing the site could always find the answers to any questions I had.
It was a black 1987 K5 base model with a 305 and a th700. I put a 4" procomp lift on her and 35" super swamper thornbirds with black steel wheels. And got a set of 3/4 ton axles for it free! Including install. I sold it about three years later and always regretted it!!
Well I turned 30 this year and as a gift to myself I bought a 1989 k5 blazer silverado. Bone stock, very clean no rust. All power windows work locks do not. Just been thrilled with it and plan on slowly fixing it up and keeping this one for the rest of my life. Luckily the previous owner had just put a new transmission, new radiator, water pump, battery, muffler, and brakes. It absolutely runs great. I've already tore the carpet out of the back and have began to dynamat the inside.
So I'm sure ill have a lot of questions as I build and look forward to your help.
I love browsing this website and you folks really got some beautiful rigs out there, and its good to know there are people out there who are as enthusiastic as myself about the old blazer and Jimmy's.
 
If you are really into K5's this forum is well worth the price of admission :waytogo:
 
New to site, and 4x4 suburban

Hello,

First would like to say, this site is great. Lots and lots of info.
I am new to the 4x4 suburban world. I just traded our 1994 chevy dually 454 for a 1990 1500 suburban, with a 3" procomp lift, 14 dff rear and dana 60 front. Suburban in great shape. Our truck was worth more, but was getn to small for our family. So we decided to trade, and take a little bit of loss.
Ive got a few questions about some of the suspension on it, but will post in another forum link.

Again, great site. And you all have great looking burbs on here.

Newbie in need

Brand new to the site and joining becuase I am finally starting the total rebuild of our '72 K5. And for lack of better terms it is a total rust bucket! I have enough replacement panels to almost build another truck and will be starting the body work next week and will keep working on the frame and suspension. I will be posting pics when I can and I have a ton. If anyone knows where I can get a replacement for the upper windshield frame let me know. I already know that it will have to come from a donor truck but I figured I would ask.

The only thing that I have ever restored is my 67 camaro so I will probably be asking for all kinds of help with the suspension set up since this thing appears to have some lifted springs as well as a 4" body lift.

Hey everyone I'm new to this (forums) but anyways names Isaac finishing up high school this May and I'm heading to college next fall. I'm from Denver and I own a 1988 K5 Blazer that I got from my dad been doing some body work on it welding new panels and getting it ready for new paint hopefully I can get it done before I graduate so I can take if to college and show everyone at school. I absolutely love the K5's andi hope I learn a lot for this forum and maybe get some advice when I need it.
