Ione, CA This weekend? (CALROCS)

[Gold Rush]

Hey guys. Everyone who is going to Ione this weekend speak up! I will be going either Friday night or Early Saturday morning. If there will be anybody else going Friday night then I'm game for beer drinkin and Bull Shitting. Otherwise I'll go up Saturday morning. Won't be able to bring my rig so will need to ride with someone else once we get to Ione.

Does anyone know exactly where the events are being held and if there is camping onsite????????? Or do we have to camp around town somewhere???

I'm up for heading out EARLY saturday morning. What time could you be in Livermore? I was thinking of leaving maybe at 0730 or 0800. I'll e-mail Savage and see when he's leaving.

Not A Prob. There is a chance that I will be picking up a couple of People. One in Castrovalley and the other in Tracey. I can meet you all in Livermore. At 730-8 am on Saturday Morning. I will know for sure tomorrow (11/14) about the guy in Tracey. I'm not holding my breath on him. I'll PM both you and GoKarter when I find out for sure. Dang it will be fun to watch this... Also I may be a little Hung over due to a U2 concert this Friday night......

I'll be there this weekend with my chevy (providing it wants to make the trip) I'm leaving friday night and staying in Plymoth. Look for me I should be in a Red Chevy double deck flat bed with 35" a/t BFG slicks on.

Yes I am spending the night there. I will either be in the dually and just spread out my sleeping bag on the front seat or I'll bring my conversion van and sleep in the nice bed in the back of it. That way there are no worries about setting up a campsite. That's why I mentioned before I'll have to ride with somebody once we get up there if 4wd is needed to get to the event. I'm not bringing any of my camping gear, I figure for just me that I could hit fast food joints or a diner for my chow.

I'm going Sat morning as well, leaving from the Oakland area. The fastest way to get to Ione would be through Livermore but I have plans to pick up an engine from Sacramento. So I'm gonna have to swing a big loop up that way. I'd like to caravan with you guys so I might try to reschedule my plans in Sac. I'll let you guys know.

OH one other thing, they said you don't need a 4x4 to get to the event. The parking area is right next to the course... according to Rich from CALROCS. So David, you can drive your van. I'm driving my "Junkyard" van as well. There's no wheeling for spectators anyway. And its $10 per vehicle. This should be a blast, I can't wait!!
