Iowa Ck5ers

You all are a bunch of Iowegians! I live in Missouri and have relatives in Fairfield, IA. Been to Eddyville and Cedar Falls with my old Firebird a time or two. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

badlands is ok, stick to the orange and u'll have fun. badlands have wide trails, and slot of sand. google map it and u can see the park pretty good. the club goes there all the time and to cliffs. cliffs is more technical, tighter and more trail riding. stick to the black and ull see why the trail is named caranage. badlands has way to many quads and dirt bikes there in my opinion. cliffs has a 110" wb restriction and a 39" tires height restriction. rockport has 114" wb restriction but not inforced, but be aware body damage will happen.... :) im ready to go to any of the parks so lets go. -chris

As long as this is back from the dead...where are all the Iowegians gathering this summer? If all goes well I'll be in the black hills for two or three days but I'd like to wheel with some more CK5er's and there seems to be quite more in IA than in MN.

Well now that there are NO public wheeling places in Iowa, any gathering will have to be OUTSIDE the state. What a frikken joke.

Good thing Rockport, Cliff's and the Badlands are relatively close to us eastern Iowegians.:D

Well wherever you guys gather this year, hopefully ill be there, if i get the burb done in time, yeah i think we only have one public wheeling area in minnesota - gilbert, northern minnesota, but if i get the burb done ill drive wherever we decide 2 meet at, but ill probably be out of money by the time i get there, so no gas 2 wheel with lol.

So how many total ck5 members are there in the bordering states of minnesota and iowa?

Isn't 600 acres near Solon/Ely still open to trucks? I haven't been there in a while but a neighbor of mine ran a Jeep there not long ago.

Nope. The DNR has hosed the 4X4 trucks out of it. It is an ATV/snowmobile park only now.  :angry1: :angry1: :angry1:
