I've found a couple of cool ones that I thought I'd share. Both are FREE!

1. Toyota Trail Tracker - Lets you search for trails near your area, find popular trails (Moab is in there already) and lets you create your own by recording your coordiates as you drive.

2. Bosch Light 'Em Up Dyno - Let's you measure 0-60 times on your vehicle using the built-in accelerometers in the iPhone. The upgrade version will give you 1/4 mile times. I think it will estimate HP too, but I haven't played with it much yet.

Just go to the iTunes store and download them for free to try them out. Pretty cool stuff. :waytogo:

Has anyone else come across cool car-enthusiast related apps???

:usaflag:

i had the cool wall app from top gear for awhile. (but its lame.lol)
also had a dyno app at first. its pretty junk, atleast the one i had was. all it did was measure the vibrations. in my diesel that was pretty much worthless.
i figured out that i could run a 8 sec 1/4 mile just by shaking my arm.
maybe the new one is better tho, the one i did was over a year ago.

Is there an app that will tell you your current speed so you could see if / how much the speedometer might be off?

I have Gas Cubby and like it. It keeps track of your milage and cost of gas etc as well as your service intervals & tire changes. Works on multiple vehicles.
