anyone useing this line? I'm looking to convert the air tools on my service truck to electric. and these ones look pretty decent.

I've been using the IR impacts and drills w/LiIon batteries for 3-4 years and have been pretty happy with them. I honestly don't think they have what it takes to replace your air tools, but they do work pretty well.

did you miss the part of my very last post....... where I said. I have been using the snap-on 1/2" and 3/8" electric impacts for a long time already..........

I'm not looking for impacts. I need to have the other tooling for convenience and speed. and snap-on doesn't make that stuff.

i have run/ran the Snappie stuff for yrs... impact, drill, lights..

but i too needed something to run rolocs in for surface conditioning pads, cutoff wheels, etc..

i bought these Mac 19.2v about 3, 3 1/2 yrs ago, and couldn't be happier with the performance...

the batteries are awesome.... tools too... i beat the snot out of that right angle drill and it works like the day i bought it...

the package deal i got was a good deal at the time... think those 3 with battteries and 1 charger was like $400 ish iirc..

i should look and see what else they have that accepts those batteries...

You see I often work in isolated places. where its not practical to reach my service truck for air tools. so I need to bring the power to the job. I've been useing the snap-on 1/2" and 3/8" electric impacts for ages, but I need the rest of the tooling. for surface prep, cutting, die grinding.

The angle grinder is a genuine POS don't buy one!!! I went through 6 or 7 of them, the last 2 that went bad they wouldn't even warranty for me. The last one didn't last 3 minutes before it went up in a blaze of glory.:sign9:
