If iroks has the same tread depth, I'd go with them... but they don't. Grooved 42" TSLs still own. :thumb:

i love how people say tsl's hands down for mud. i have ran BOTH tsl's and iroks and the only place a tsl beats the irok is in street wear. but not by much. i got like 35,000 out of my tsl's and ill get close to 30,000 out of my iroks. the iroks are much smoother on the road and much quieter also. they do awesome in the mud and sand. they do much better in snow and ice then the tsls do. and yes i am talking from experiance with them as i HAVE ran both tires

Out of curiosity, was there ANY tread left on the TSL's after 35,000 miles.

Also, weren't your previous TSL's the 13/38-16 size. The reason I bring this up is that the 39.5" Irocs are much, much taller and therefore should do better in the mud because of that.

Anyone I've rode with loves the IROC's in the mud...
then 6 months later after they're missing some lugs...they hate'm.
Then they go out and get some TSL's. ;)

seems to me these are all buyists opinions. If you look at the tsl preechers they all run tsl's...

Anybody run both besides mudhog?

The theory is tsl's are better all around tires and work better on dirt, rock and street(not buy much) becuase the treads are less gapped out, which is the same reason iroks are better for mud... illegedly. :D

hmm now the poll is gettin more even....u guys are making it hard!

the 38's had about 15-20% tread left. yes my old tsl's were 38x12.5x16in and my iroks are 39.5x13x16in my only wish for the irks is that they would come with more tread depth like the tsl's but i love my iroks they ride way smoother and much quieter then the tsl's. they also do every bit as good if not better in all areas then the tsl's and they do much better in the snow and ice

i like the iroks, im just afraid they will wear out too fast, since the depth isnt close to the tsl's

Personally I won't buy either, but then again, I don't want to have to buy new tires EVERY year

The miles you counted while the rig was on a trailer don't count. ;) 30,000 miles out of IROK's? :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

I do have to admit to being quite surprised that somebody got 35,000 miles out of a set of TSL's and they still had 15-20% tread left. I won't even get that many miles from the 265/75R16 Trxus MT radials on my daily driver.

I love the Iroks, have had them a year now. They pull very well in the mud and snow, and do very well on muddy rutted trails. Then there is the fact they stick to rocks... :D My next set of tires will probably be 42" Iroks. I also have had no trouble with them loosing lugs or getting severely damaged on the trail.

Yeah, they dug you some pretty nice holes this weekend.:D

Iroks are good tires, no question... but the shallower tread will always be a big negative for me. Additionally, snow/mud seems to be their real strong suit when compared to a TSL... and I don't really like to drive in either one. If the tread depth was better, I'd still run'em though. :thumb:

I would go Iroks I have also run both TSLs and Iroks and the Iroks are awesome in the mud. I do think the Iroks wear faster on the road than TSLs.

My next set of tires will be TSL bias ply's because of the price. TSL bias ply's are the best quality large/agressive tires for the money. I am going to get a set of 38", and balance them with about 20-ounzes of ceramic beads.
