what size valves? are they the 062's?
 
Matching numbers 10239906 bolt on 40hp
Not sure on the size of the valves to be honest.

compression ratio change would be minimal ( at least not to the point where you'd need High octane gas) and you also need a differnet intake manifold Awesome heads and good price BUMP
 
Also these are the more desirable "906" castings far less prone to cracking then 062 heads

this statement is not true. 906 and the 062 are the same head, the only difference is in the exhaust valve seat area. one will not be less prone to cracking then the other because they are exactly the same.
 
Yea I built a vortec headed engine for my monte carlo, ended up having money issues so I sold it,lol. Wish I had kept the heads and intake now.

Anyone drop vortecs and an intake on a stock engine? Any idea what it does to the gas mileage?
