The dumbass at the parts counter figured all 6.2's are the same...I told her it was an '83, she ordered in a waterpump for an '89. Ummm, 'scuse me dumbass but mine has 'V' belts and the one you had me wait 3 days for is for a serp set-up. Not only does my pulley not fit, but the whole damn pump is the mirror image of the pump i need...reverse rotation and all that crap. :doah:

Usually they ask six hundred questions that have nothing to do with the part you need, this time I get a know-it-all that obviously didn't.

How about when You ask for the AC belt and they give you a FAN / Alt Belt.

I'm sick of the part counter people thinking they know it all / not listening.

Everytime I go in now I have already done my research and have part #'s in hand to compare to what "they get" and what I "need".

If you really want to amuse yourself, go onto their website (happened to me using Kragen) and print out your shopping cart before you head to the store. Wait for them to finish drooling over themselves and putting in the prices they charge anyone who walks through the door and pull out your list and ask them why they are about 75% higher than they listed on the website.

They will reduce the price to what it was on the website and glare at the same time. Good for hours of fun and frivolity. (Didn't start out that way for me, but after they wanted a little over $500 for stuff I had priced on the website at just under $250, figured I would do all my shopping online and go visit them with the part numbers. Tired of them being so completely clueless.)

I do that all the time, they are never happy but they always have to match their online prices.:D
I even got one time a discount after I had ordered some stuff from 4wheel parts because they reduced the price after I ordered but they hadn't delivered yet so I said either refund me the difference or cancel the order.
Wasn't too pleased with my attitude but they gave me a gift cert for the difference and i ended up buying stuff with it.
