Is 200W Amp Alternator Enough? Friend needs help..

My friend is wondering if a 200 amp is enough for his jeep, his 100 amp isnt. He has a 350 in it, 2 12in subs, a lincoln mark 8 electric fan (uses alot of power) and some off road lights.

He saw this on eBay,

I am assuming that you mean 200 amp as opposed to 100 amp. Anyhow, going to the higher output alternator will help, but remember that neither is going to be able to put out rated power at idle. Along with the alternator upgrade, your friend would be wise to add an additional battery to help with the load of operating all of that stuff at low rpm's. As for the ebay alternator, I just had a 140 amp alternator rebuilt at a local shop, and rewound to put out 200 amps. Total cost was 125.00. If you shop around you could most likely find a shop to do the same.
