i wanna build a grille guard for my truck just wondering if this is overkill, i already have an international dump truck bumper with the dump truck frame mounted behind that for a front bumper, i want something that if i hit a couch or something its not going to faze it. if it is overkill what do u recommend?

the picture of my avatar is not my current bumper

Most guys just use basically the same as cage tube, 1 3/4 X .120 wall or 2 inch X .120 wall. IF you actually think you need thicker wall, .188 is plenty strong enough. Even .156 wall would be plenty strong enough.

no, you need to use solid 2" square rod. :haha:

j/k. everyone else gotchya covered. :wink1:

Im going to go with OVER KILL.

Like this frame built for an old international P/up truck

:haha:

why are you concerned with hitting couches? did the local furniture store piss in your cheerios?

im not really concerned about couches persay, but if i hit something i dont want the grille guard going into my truck

Lift the Blazer up and you won't have to worry about hitting things. Your main concern will be running OVER them :D

It's a couch...get over it ;)
