Is a (98) 6 lug 4x4 bolt pattern the same as a 87 4x4 bolt pattern?

I found a good deal on some wheels and tires but the seller says there off a 1998 6 lug 4x4. I want them for my 87 6 lug 4x4 will they work thanks?

yep if not dodge dakota/durango. small 6 wont fit. and some new fords run metric pattern 6 lug now.

but make sure the rims are NOT hub centric . that is were the back side of the rim in the center hole is the size to just fit on the smaller hub of the ifs stuff.

people have machined them out before to make them non hub centric.

also make sure the center hole will let your spindle/lockout hub pass threw.

Bolt pattern would be the same but offset/backspacing will probably not be the same. I would compare the backspacing to your current wheels first.

I could be wrong, but in addition to the offset and center hole "might fit" dilema, the lugs on most 90 & up models were 14mm I think..not sure if there is a way around thgat..

The wheel stud hole is the same size regardless of the wheel stud diameter. It's the nut that becomes different at that point.

Yeah I read that the the 98 are 14mmX1.5 and the 87 are 7/16-RH so I would just change the lug nuts right. Man I love this place nothing but great help.
