My buddy came by with a 92' Dodge D70 rear last night...
he wants to trade for a set of d60 4.10 gears and warn locked-outs...
What do you guys think of this trade???

dollar wise I don't think its a great deal...... D70's are comparable in strength to a 14FF but more expensive to build..... a set of locking hubs for a D60 front end cost about the same as a complete 14FF..... the real question is do you need a D70 and what were your plans for the D60 front end parts

Yah...that's what I was thinking...
the gears are nice...but the lock-out hubs are rough.
I'm basically doing a favor for a buddy of mine.
He's always breaking his d44...and I'm tired of watching him break...
this will get his d60 on the trail.

Plus I'm running 5.13's and 35 spline outters...
so the parts will rot before I'l use them.
Emmettology is interested in the d70...this may work out well for all my buds. ;)

I bought a nice set of 4.10 D60 gears and a rough but functional set of standard Warn hubs off E-bay for about $80 shipped.

Wow...good deal. :D

Make sure its a 70.Alot of 70s I have looked at were Dana 61s.

If the parts you have to trade are used that would be a fair trade. But what price can ya realy put on not being stuck with 5.13s :D
