Is a Rochester a Q-jet?

theres a rochester and carter qjets, look at it. youll see it on the carb stamped.

quadrajet.... cheap and easy to find... (opinion)
I say the carters, but it's pretty much personal opinion

Both the same , Carter just filled in when demand of new cars outstripped GM's factory capacity at Rochester
Rochester made a bunch of different carbs, 4GC, varijet, dualjet, monojet, etc. Pretty hard to confuse them though lol.

i prefer the carter...i've had less trouble from carters than rochester...idk why
As was stated previously Rochester made tons of other carbs besides the Q-jet, so no, not every Rochester carb is a Q-jet.
My Q-jet was made by Carter (GM's demand exceeded Rochester's manufacturing capacity during the late 70's, the Carter Q-jets are identical to the Rochester Q-jets of the era)
Most Quadrajets were made by Rochester.
