cant really search for this because of the 3 letter limit so here goes...

14 bolt moved 4 inches back,700r 203/205 doubler,fixed yoke rear,5 to 6 inches of lift

how nessesary is a cv rear shaft??i have a 1 ton 1350 driveshaft out of a ford i would like to use (just get shortened) but i dont want to invest any money in it and it gimme problems on trail....this truck will only see campground to trail use so nothing over 45mph and 10 to 15 miles...

CV shafts are pretty much just to help vibration.

In almost all cases a shaft with the normal 2 joints will have more angle capacity than a CV.

also, a cv will eat up a couple more inches of your driveshaft, if that makes sense.

i would definitely do a 2 joint shaft over cv shaft. Ive got 2 joints front and rear, front being 1410 and square tube for a cheap solution for travel and angle, rear being stock still with s44/1350 joint. Next time around, rear shaft will be 1410 on both ends also.

thanks guys...i will post up some pics of my driveshaft in a day or two....

yall might not be able to anwser this but the driveshaft i have has a 1310 on one end...i have a 1350 yoke froma 205 can the driveshaft shop put that yoke on my driveshaft when i have it shortened??

Your question is unclear but here are both answers:

If you have a 1350 "weld yoke" (the piece that holds the u-joint on a driveshaft) then its pretty unlikely. Weld yokes are specific to the tubing size and thickness.

If you have a 1350 yoke (i.e. one that uses straps or u-bolts to house the u-joint) that came off of an NP205 I doubt the driveshaft shop will want to deal with it. Its been done and the yoke is weldable but I'd be surprised if a driveline shop would be willing to deal with it.
