is it possible to yank all the sensors and electronics off of a 6.0L engine and put a carb and intake on it? possibly a sheetmetal intake, but what about the ignition(spark)?

anything is possible with a chevy motor but I think you would be wasting your time converting a fuel injected motor to a carb. Most people in the off-road world want injection for the superior off camber running. For your goal though you could take everything off the motor, throw on an aftermarket intake and use an HEI dizzy, wire it all by hand and crank it over. Your dash should light up like a chrismas tree with all the faults the computer finds and if its an auto your transmission wont shift correctly without more money and custom wiring.

well, was asking about engine to go in a '68 c10,
so a regular hei will fit the 6 liter?
and they make an aftermarket carb intake?
and the tranny is original th400 so no electronics there....or enuff lights in dash to constitute a christmas tree.
so a 6 liter can be made to run w/carb and hei diz..w/no electronics?

great article supersize...just what i was wanting 2 know, now i need to find a good 6L longblock....thanks

super, do you still have that grabber green k5?

cool it said

Note: we have stock 6.0L LQ4 325 HP engines from $1995

that+the edelbrock intake, carb and msd box and some headers would have me running,...ol skool w/new style engine

i have 2 6.0 motors, and have picked up both for well below that price, just keep an eye on craigslist or call some yards, just get all the parts you can with it!
