That is awesome and would love to find a napco 4x4 to fix up, would love to see some pics of this.

Me too,!--and yeah,it IS rare,as in very few ever made or sold, the only ones like your truck I have seen were fire depatment rescue or game warden/forestry service trucks...nicest one I saw belonged to a fire department in a nearby town,a '63 GMC panel truck, with a 292/SM465 and I'm not sure if it was a NAPCO or a GM drivetrain under it....it had 15,000 miles when it sold at auction about 10 years ago--for 1500 bucks!..I wish I was the guy who won the bid!--I know who got it,he kept it for about a year, drove it to some truck shows and cruise nights, then took an offer of 6K for it....it was worth every penny, had the chrome bumpers, grille, and NO rust ever--original paint still shined like new,the firemen waxed it just about daily...I'd kill for a truck like that one!..

Sounds pretty cool, chat a bit here then post up some pics when you hit 15posts. The interest in this truck will be a big hit I'm sure.

ok yes i agree worthless without pics lol. i have to find the ones i have im not sure if there in my email or not.. i might have to wait till i get to the comp at work i know for a fact there on there.

I've wanted and early 60's Suburban for a long time...I love the early 60's trucks...I have a shortbed 64.
I only saw a handful of the suburban's in Texas, but when I moved to Idaho, and then Oregon, I saw more than I ever imagined I'd see. I've also seen mid to late 50's Suburban in the Northwest also...It seems like they all ended up in the Northwest.
And nobody would sell them...

Post some pics...please

Yep that's my old 'burban!!! Got any questions drop me a line.....BTW, the t-case isn't a 205, can't think what it is, but whatever it is it's bad, growls like a bastard.....Lantz's has some last I checked.

It's probably an old Rockwell T-223 transfer case, unless its a NAPCO one, which is similar..both had straight cut gears and whined like a blower,I had one in my '72 Chevelle wagon in my avatar, everyone thought I had a blower on the 454 in it!..

That truck looks decent for its age!...I saw a really nice panel version listed on CL ,in a town near my hometown ,I think I posted a link to the ad once here in the past, but I'm not sure if there is still one up or not--it was a turquoise & white '64 Panel with a later 396 in it,from Oregon originally...was listed at 18,500 for awhile, last ad I say it was down to 12,900 bucks...its a 4x4 too, looks minty..

ok yes u got me on the 205. i crawled under the truck today at work and looked at it closer its actually a t-221 made by timken for rockwell/napco and whoever else.. which make sence because i always wonderd why it had three main shafts..
