Im out of town working and came across this in local marketplace. Is it worth it as a starting point. Im just not sure of is value in this shape. 60 is what i want eventually.

looks like they chopped off the Cs instead of removing the weld... That'd probably make it hard to put new ones on. I'd pass myself.
 
Agreed, there’s a decent amount of tube cut off of the short side, doesn’t look like there’s room for the OE type shock bracket.
 
I was thinking the same thing as the others. Might work if you building a Jeep or buggy that needs a narrow track width.
 
if going to build that level i would start high pinion for diff .

and yes to short on the tubes now .

if you need a builder housing i have 2 of them . i have fastnal close by .
 
skip it. I bought frt and rear 3/4 ton complete axle assemblies on craigslist for $100. Just be patient, the deals with find you.
