Hey Guys,
I just bought this motor for my 73 Blazer and I was considering swapping the cam before I put it in:
http://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=256305
The current cam specs are .383 in. intake lift and .401 in. exhaust lift. The open duration is 194 degrees intake and 202 degrees exhaust at .050 in. with a 112 degree lobe separation.
I am running TBI right now and will be swapping that over so I was thinking of running this cam (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-12-249-4/overview/) with specs of .434 intake lift, .444 exhaust lift, 206 int/212 exh duration at .050 with 112 lsa.
I know that cam will make more power and they run well with the stock TBI but I want to know if it will make enough extra power (and good power down low) that it would be worth my time to swap it out.
Let me know what you guys think.
John
