Is my distributor goin bad? VIDEO with sound inside

What do you think? Its a new noise. Rotor, cap, plugs, and wires are all new...and the noise started about 50 miles after everything was replaced.

If it needs to be replaced, is there a "how to" so I can start to see what I am up against? I have seen replacements for around $100. Im pretty sure (so is a local member) that its going bad.

that rattling noise (the only noise in the video) is coming from the distributor, but the truck drives fine. thoughts? is it just going to fail one day?

That sounds like the rotor is hitting the distributor contacts in the cap. You might take the cap off and see if it's something that simple. Could be the wrong rotor was sold to you?
