i did a 4" lift on my 1990 3/4 ton suburban and this is what my driveshaft looks like now. im wondering if its too short? its my daily driver so it barely sees any offroading. is there anything i can do to help it out?

can't tell by pic but is there any spline showing? I'd also adress that crossover exhaust pipe too.

When i did mine, (a Sub also) my DS was alittle short, some greasing up, and little manipulation, and it hooked up. Mine looks very similar to yours, i wheel mine all the time, and have had no issues with it at all.

It does rub on the crossover pipe for the exhaust, but has never had any major problems from it.

Being that i have manual hubs, the DS doesn't turn all the time anyways, only when wheelin.

you'll be ok if you have manual lock outs, if not, you may have some DS noise from it.

there is no spline showing. its a little bit before that point.

i got manual hubs and since its a daily on the street i never have it locked. the crossover pipe is real close but i dont think it touches. i havent heard any noise coming from that direction.

but yours sounds the same as mine, so i would assume its ok. thanks for the help guys.

Looks about like mine. i have a 5" lift and the shaft is fine.

The exhaust is a PITA. I got an elbow from Autozone, cut out a section smaller than the elbow, fit it in, welded it and it gave me about 1" of clearamce which is fine.

hopefully if i get some money saved up soon ill just buy full exhaust which will fix the problem.

At the time I was in a hurry because I was leaving on a trip. Now I'm just cheap and lazy. :D

Post up some pics of the rest of the truck.

here it is. im actually going to see about a guy selling some 35s bfg mud terrain on mickey thompsons tomorrow. after that im gonna start doing body work and paint so its a little more presentable. make some custom bumpers.
