I installed a steering shaft off of a cheap jerokee tonight and I am not sure if I did it right. The shaft is in but I don't know if the two shafts are suppose to move in and out of each other as my frame flexes. I can't pull them apart real easy but I can pull them apart. I read somewhere on here that you have to shorten the shaft a bit but I had to lengthen mine a bit. Can anyone tell me if this looks ok.

Yep, that's fine as long as there is still enough of the shafts inside one another. They are made this way in case you're ever in a real bad accident the shaft will collapse instead of jamming a steering column through your chest.

Ok cool. Now I have a couple more quick questions. If my frame is flexing and the two shafts are really really tight is that going to wear out my steering box or steering column? And while I was installing this I noticed my steering box has a bit of play in it. How tight should it be and how do I adjust it? Thanks!
