Is the price right? 88 K5

i saw the post. If the rust is not that bad it may be hard to give him just 1k for it, id go with 1500 in your pocket if you really want it. take a look and depening on the condition offer what you think. photos would help.

Well,
tail gate does not open but window works fine = tailgate hinges and tail pan rusted can't open but hey window works!

Depends on the how bad it has been beat! Also on how much you want to spend. Me I would use the money and buy a CUCV!

My gut feeling is telling me to wait it out and save up some cash, and find a clean 73 or any full vert. I want to either buy a truck that I don't have to do rust repair on, or if I do have to do rust repair on it, drive it stockish, save up my cash, and stockpile the parts, first on the list the d60, 14bff combo. What kind of mpg does the 6.2 get over a 350 per say? turbo 6.5? if diesel wasn't more expensive then gas i'd consider a cucv, but right now i'm not sure if its even a good idea? :doah:

A 6.2 can easily get 20 MPG versus a 350 getting 12 - 15 and sometime worse. I would prefer a diesel, but I don't want to do the work to convert to a 6.2 or 6.5 TD. Personally I would rather set up a Cummins, but that is just me.

Well, which diesel would be best for a truck that would be getting 5.13's, 40-44 inch tires, if it was any of the 3, they would either have a single or twin turbo setup, if I don't go diesel it would be a 383 supercharged, my plan is just get a stock K5, drive it while I get everything ready to build, get a little dd and then rip down the K5.
